Oceanpoint Ranch

Great location on Moonstone Beach. This is one of the few (perhaps, only) places to stay on Moonstone with on-site breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lots of activities for kids and adults alike. In the evenings, our son made s’mores while making friends by the fire pits (and so did we!). Plus there’s a heated pool, game room, corn hole, bocce and shuffle board outside.

The only thing this hotel is missing is a jacuzzi. It’s often cold in Cambria (even in the summer when everyone else is experiencing a heat wave, Cambria stays pretty cool.)

The Hotel location was great! It was close enough to the beach and had access by walking or hiking. The modern Ranch style decor was pleasant and fun. Available food from the Canteen was very nice especially on the first night arriving and in the mornings! Fire pits were great to use especially at sunset! The recreation areas and overall landscape was enjoyable.

The mattresses and bedding appeared to be fairly new(a big plus for us), even though the room was very clean, the room was invaded by ants that were all over the bed, under the pillows, on the TV cabinet. We had not ate anything in the room especially in the bed! This was about 9:30 ish in the evening. The room was in the Rose Garden / breezeway area. The inlaid rug could have used a cleaning for it felt dirty on the bare feet. We notified the office and they moved us to another room. The next room was very clean also, smaller but no ant guests. All in all it was a pleasant stay! We plan to come and stay again.

I stayed here because it seemed like the best fit for a family after reading all the reviews , and I made the right choice. Has plenty of open space to play games outdoors, a large wooden corral with turf, fireplaces a gazebo, games etc, . Across moonstone Beach, perfect for my 2 year old. After walking the boardwalk there's nice hotels with a view of the sea and beach, But I'd think 🤔 twice with a small child. I'll be staying at the oceanpoint ranch again.😁

We really enjoyed the location, and the facilities of the fire pits, games, beach access, and proximity of walking to the boardwalk, Leffingwell Landing, and the road to a Big Sur.

There were several broken items in the room including the shower door, the windows being stuck, the curtain missing the pull, a hole in the door, and handles missing minor features on the dresser handles. For the price you pay, you would expect these items to be fully functioning.

The perfect location across from the beach, close to the action but more private than the hotels along Moonstone... lots of dogs and young families, but still quiet enough to enjoy as a couple with room to wander and explore the grounds. Loved the old school camp vibe and beautiful decor... we upgraded to a room with fireplace and claw foot tub, it was perfect for a romantic birthday trip.

Can’t think of a single thing!

Its a really lovely property, very comfy beds, nice sized rooms with wonderful finishes. Great location, easy access to the ocean front boardwalk, and sunset viewing points. The pool was clean and a nice size! Outside there are lots of chairs and gas fire places to sit around, games and they had an outdoor movie night. Lots of parking and dog friendly!!!

For the price point I always expect maybe a little more than the usual. For example, the available activities are awesome on paper but have seen a fair amount of use, if you pay for a room with a fire place I do think you should get a bundle of wood for each night you stay not be charged $10 for additional bundles, perhaps blankets to use when outside in the chairs, or some sort of free breakfast/discount at the restaurant on site. But these are really minor issues, overall its a really lovely place to stay to enjoy the local wine and beaches!!

1. The toilet floor is quite dirty 2. It said 24/7 front desk, but you have to drive to another ranch lobby to check in if you arrive after certain time. Clear instructions though. 3. No lift for rooms on the second floor, you have to carry your luggage upstairs

Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. Quick walking access to a fairly private beach. The heated swimming pool was sparkling clean and was never crowded. The patio/sliding glass door leads to the pool but the “patio” is nothing special. The King bed was very comfy. The decor was imaginative. Very nice staff. Easy parking. Accepts pets. Quiet for the most part.

Very pricey place to stay which is why I’m being extra picky here: the Floors were dirty. Our feet were black after walking around the room for an hour which means we had to use our limited towel supply to clean them. Coffee maker only had enough coffee for one day. No bathtub. Shower only. Not enough power outlets or hooks to hang things. Mini fridge took about 12 hours to get cold. The wifi was not very strong. Breakfast not included.

For those who are used to staying in 5 star hotels, this hotel will be just as comfortable! amazing design! everything is clean and looks new! Definitely recommend it to everyone! Free parking right in front of your door, amazing facilities, comfortable BIG beds! Two queen size beds, not twin or full, as many other hotels provide.

Such a nice room, it had two huge double beds and was well decorated. We were able to park directly outside our room which was great. We went in the outdoor pool even though it was March and raining and it was nice to splash around in. The on site restaurant sold lovely local wines and sitting outside at one of the many gas firepits made our evening.
