Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Chico, an IHG Hotel

The location was perfect with lots of shops nearby. Also, everything seems pretty new and clean. The staff were wearing masks, which made us feel safe to stay during the pandemic as well.

Hot breakfast was good. I loved the variety of options! Room and bathroom were clean and seemed new. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. AC worked great. Amenities were great. Pool was small, but it was indoors and water was comfortable. Bonus: the TV was on an extendable mount that swiveled left and right. I was able to easily hook up our Switch!

There was an unexpected minor issue with the safe in our room. Maintenance came not too long after I called the front desk though, and was able to get the safe working temporarily. He was very friendly as well!

We loved the location and your facility was very nice. The staff professionalism was outstanding! I was impressed with the parking space, could always park close to the door, also impressed with the fresh towels.

The room didn’t accommodate us as senior citizens. We asked for another chair for our room and was told there were no extra chairs. One of us had to sit on the bed with our back against the back board, very uncomfortable. We had a queen room and felt there should have been a comfy chair in the corner near the window. Our socks were super dirty from walking on the room carpet.

very nice hotel, newer, very clean room, excellent breakfast spread. Would stay here again, but first will check if there is a speedway event (see below)

Might be nice for staff to notify upon check in about the need to put room key in slot on wall for wall lights to work. Speedway nearby kept us awake until after midnight with roaring noise. only found out later that this exists and there are scheduled events. Staff claimed to not know anything when asked next morning.

I love how friendly the staff was. I love how close we were to stores. I love that there is an indoor pool. I love how there was parking in the back, we were able to park there our last night and was able to see our car from our room window. I love how the snacks in the front, you could just charge them to our room. I love love the complimentary breakfast. You guys have exceeded our expectations and we all agreed that we shall be returning!

There isn't anything I would say that was bad.

Location is great. Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. I like that the hotel was not located in the city center. Very quiet and comfortable rooms. Bed is generous size with crisp clean cotton linens. Lighting is very nice. I would stay here again. Generous size room and the bathroom is roomy with a generous size step in shower. Hotel and room was sparkling clean.

The materials used are industrial and have a bit of a sterile ambiance, but it did not detract from the comfort. A key card is used to turn on the electrical stuff in the room. Windows do not open for fresh air.

Wonderful quiet and clean room. Friendly staff with a variety of items for breakfast. Spacious and comfortable. Ice machine nearby. It was a dream! Would consider going back

Breakfast was very good quality and selection.

Coffee in room was not very good. Only one pod of caffeinated coffee per person. Lighting in entry/coffee area did not have its own light. Bathroom lighting was not good. I didn't like the bathroom door that kept closing on its own. Trying to be too modern but not very inviting.

The rooms were super clean! The complimentary shampoo, conditioner, & body wash was useful. There was more than enough parking spots during our stay. The staff that were working during our stay were very kind.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable for our backs. The "blackout curtains" weren't really blocking out the sunlight in the mornings. The breakfast could also have been a bit better, but it could have been because of the time we were here.

I’ve stayed here many times. It’s a modern furnished hotel in the fastest growing area of Chico. Always clean and I’ve never had any issues. It has one of the best continental hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. It had the normal basic items you usually find but in addition had vegetarian omelets and a pancake making station.
