King's Rest Motel

Though it is an older hotel, maybe 60 years in age, it has been updated well enough within existing space. The rooms are small and the lighting inside is sparse. Facilities are very clean inside. Condition of property is well kept. The train nearby blows it whistle during daylight hours but nights are quiet. The office staff is very friendly and will warn any noisy guests. The owners care a lot about the motel and we appreciate the efforts they performed.

The inside main light and bathroom have timers so they turn off too soon.

The hotel is right off the highway, close to lots of restaurants and convenience stores, and was a no fuss, no frills, comfortable stay for our quick weekend trip. The manager was very kind and accommodating as we checked in later than normal (around 10-11pm), and made sure we had what we needed.

The walls are a little thin, but as we weren’t situated next to anyone who was doing anything bonkers at 3am, it wasn’t much of an issue.

If visiting the event centers in the area, this is a great location only a few minutes away from Capos and Centennial. Easy and fast check-in and check-out. Nice facilities.

Great stop for a good bed, good pillows, and well appointed room. Very friendly staff. Nice central location. Easy check in and check out. I stayed in #101 and it was quite roomy. Shower was great, and I loved the comfortable desk chair. A great room to work for a few hours on my laptop and then have a good night's sleep.

Wish it had a coffeemaker, but that was just about my only complaint. They were probably available but I never bothered to ask. I stayed in the room nearest the street so until the car traffic died down at night that might be a problem for early-sleepers. There is also a train track somewhere in the area so light sleepers might wake up once-twice during the night as a train goes by.

Very quaint and cozy motel, in a convenient location in Gilroy. Although there is a lot of traffic along the boulevard and the railroad tracks are nearby, the motel is surprisingly quiet. I slept well, and found the room to be comfortable. Internet was good, too.

The door to the shower did not close, so I had to use a washcloth to jam it between the frame and the door. It worked. Everything else was fine.

This property was very clean and comfortable. The price is set inexpensive, so not a lot of amenities, but comfortable and K K did a great job. I would recommend to a friend.

The floor in the bathroom was tile and we stayed in a walk in shower. The floor was wet and very slippery.

The manager is super friendly and helpful. He will go out of his way to accommodate something for his guests. The prices are a great bargain. Will always stay here in this area and will recommend anyone coming this way.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It even had a little microwave and frig. The manager was excellant. He gave me great directions to get back on the 152.

I wish they had in room coffee.
