Bear Creek Cabins is currently a small row of cabins with a shared porch area and comfortable seats and tables outside. The cabins are equipped with kitchen equipment and plenty of room for belongings. The location worked really well for us as it is about a 15 minute drive back to Mariposa, where you can buy all provisions you need, but also it is close to the main highway into Yosemite with either a one hour drive or a very convenient bus into the national park, which stops just a minute from the cabins and is good value. A great part of the experience is meeting LouAnn who looks after the guests and is not only excellent company but also a fount of all knowledge about all local matters.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like. if we were being fussy, perhaps some of the cutlery, plates, cups and pans could be updated. Maybe it would be nice for guests to have their own Wi-Fi rather than have to share down the lane. This place may not suit those who want a wide range of amenities on site, but was just fine for us for the Yosemite part of our trip.

We loved it. It's a cabin in the woods so if you are looking for thr Holiday Inn you might want to book something else. It was so peaceful and you could smell the pine trees. The cabin was very clean and had the essentials we needed for cooking. The beds were comfortable. The property manager even came to our cabin and introduced herself and asked if we needed anything. She is fantastic! Would definitely stay here again!

I wish the owner would clean up the property. It's a wonderful place but there is a lot of trash sitting around and I can see where it might be a turn off to guests when they first arrive. It didnt really bother us because we were after the cabin in the woods experience and that's what we got. I just wish the owner would take a little more pride in the property.

LuAnn was the best host! She contacted us prior to our arrival making sure we knew exactly where the cabins were located. She checked on us during our stay and made sure we didn’t need anything. She definitely went above and beyond! The cabins were perfect and I loved the location. They are not in Yosemite but the drive in each day provided excellent scenery, we didn’t mind driving in. The small kitchen was also perfect in the cabin. We loved the woods being around and the couches and chairs on the the front porch. We used those everyday and was so comfortable!

The quietness, both dog-friendly and affordable, the smell and even though there’s a road across the creek, it’s not busy so it’s still so quiet and you can see the stars. Louann was amazing at providing information on the area when we had so many questions. We are currently looking to relocate and she gave us the warning welcome we’ve been looking for, so we hope to return soon and would definitely recommend this place. Our puppy enjoyed the open space as well outside and inside.

the property was very quiet. we did not hear any other guests. it is an entire “cabin” that includes a full kitchen. would be great for a large group and or family.

there is no service or WiFi. this would be okay if there were board games or even a dvd/vhs players to keep you occupied. we travel very light so we did not have much to do once we got back to place. this would be PERFECT if decorated a little more cabin-y, maybe with some pictures or guidebooks of Yosemite to look through.

LouAnn is the best host you can ask for! She was very kind and welcomed me when I arrived. She also gave me helpful advice/recommendations for my time exploring Yosemite. I stayed in room #4 and it was very spacious, cozy, and had everything I needed. The location of the cabin itself is great, and convenient for day trips to Yosemite.

For the value, I have no complaints. I had a great stay!

The cabin is completely made out of wood and very cozy. When we arrived the fireplace was already lighten up by Lou Ann. We arrived in the dark and had problems finding the cabin but Lou Ann guided us with her car to our cabin and welcomed us warmly.

We found everything we needed. If we would need to point out one thing it would be that the kitchen could be more well equipped.

Very affordable and cute cabin. It is a little old but better than those in Yosemite. You have bathroom and kitchen in the cabin. LouAnn is excellent in communicating with us. Just be careful to follow LouAnn's direction instead of the GPS's. GPS led us to her next door neighbor and we almost got lost

With the price that we paid, no complaints.
