Economy Inn Hollywood

For Los Angeles, where accommodation is very expensive and even harder to find if you don't have a car and need access to public transport, this accommodation was good value. It was clean and the room was quite large by European standards. There is a heater/air-conditioning and it can get a little chilly at night in Los Angeles in early November but they kindly provided me with an extra blanket.

I was a little nervous about staying here due to the neighborhood and due to the fact that it's about 10 minutes walk from the metro stop Hollywood/ Western. Los angeles has a serious homelessness problem and occasionally you do come across individuals who are obviously disturbed. However, it was not as if there were huge numbers of such people around the accommodation and so in terms of safety it was ok. The plumbing was very noisy and so if someone next door used the shower or flushed the toilet when I was asleep it was very loud. They did not clean my room while I was there but for three nights that was ok.

It pretty much has everything you need. A place to lay your head, a place to shower, and convenient parking. Not to mention there's a lot of good food places that are within walking distance. It's surprisingly quiet.

Some of their stuff could be updated like their floors and some of their furniture. Not to mention if you're not familiar with LA the area, then be prepared to see a lot of homelessness. They don't really bother but it could be a culture shock if you're not familiar with California. Otherwise I wouldn't mind going back there again.

It was a good price for the room. The staff was nice, even tho it was difficult to communicate because of the language they helped us with everything we needed and even kept our bag for us the last day so we could go sightseeing one last time. The beds were comfortable and decent size. Everything was generally clean. Overall a nice experience.

The location was a hard reality to face. The neighborhood didn't feel safe, there was a lot of homeless people around. The bed sheets were more stained than I was comfortable with, there were even some dry blood stains, not very nice. The toilet was loud when flushing but we didn't really mind.

Comfortable , clean room with all you need for a stay in LA. There was plenty of hot water in the shower and staff were helpful. It is close to major attractions, metro and buses. The area is safe after dark as long as you take the usual precautions in any city. Shops and restaurants are very close.

A kettle in the room would be nice.

Check-in process was easy. Plenty of lighting in the room (some rooms don't have overhead lights, only nightstand ones, but this one did). The parking lot was small but I never had a problem finding a parking spot for a Friday night. The location was great and an Uber anywhere was cheap and convenient.

Hotel room was a little older. No fan in the bathroom which caused it to fog up and condense quickly. Bed was already a little stained, but adequate.

Lovely owners, very helpful. Kept our room tidy and the price was really good for just over one week. The bed was really comfortable.

Bathroom could have done with a mirror in it and the room was a little outdated. The car park is a little small and the location is a bit dodgy. Homeless hanging around outside but to be honest that's just Hollywood!

I loved the location in Sunset Boulevard. A few minutes walk to the Red Metro Line, and very near shops and restaurants. A Target branch is also located quite nearby. Room size was quite good, but no hairdryer, flat iron. These can be requested from the friendly staff though (free). There's a mini fridge inside the room so you can buy food outside and store if necessary. Overall very good stay, worth considering for your Los Angeles stay.

No elevators for the second floor and we had a couple of luggages so it was a bit of a challenge, but okay. Otherwise, everything was good.

Great location, Free parking, no deposit if you book through the apps, clean, easy to check in and for 90$ a night??? Come on, I challenge anybody too find me a better deal than this.

GREAT location, walking distance from Hollywood Boulevard and the subway station. Decent neighborhood, as a female solo traveler I felt safe walking around at night. The room was nice too, it was clean and the bed was comfy. Very good value for money.

In fairness, room Is clean, old bed and no blanket but heater is working so it’s ok, washroom is newly renovated, it’s very good.

They don’t have coffee maker or kettle for hot water, you have to go out, so no coffee in the morning
