Hollywood City Inn

The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy and staff were friendly. The hotel is close to Hollywood boulevard and local amenities plus there is onsite parking and the Wi-Fi worked well.

The hotel itself felt safe whilst inside, however around the corner there are homeless people so take extra care. we stayed on the bottom floor and there was constant loud banging in the morning from the floor above.

This place is okay if you only want to sleep there. It was clean and the bed was alright. We loved the location. Literally 3 minutes walk to the metro station. Hollywood Walk of Fame is only 1 stop away. It was really quick to get to Downtown too. We walked to Griffiths Observatory and that was only 45 min of a lovely scenic hike. The area around the hotel felt safe.

The location is just great, you have everything close to you. Everyday (even on Sunday) they "clean" your room and replace your towels and sheets which is really amazing. The mini refrigerator and microwave work well. There are enough hot water on the shower. The bed is nice. There is an amazing big table under the tv which is really useful. There is a ice machine free to use that works great. The staff friendly enough.

Chair is really missing on the room, you put such a nice table - it is a waist not to have any kind of chair in order to use this table well. The price is bit expensive for this area I think. The facilities are really old(but working), as well as on the bathroom. Coffee machine is super basic - I wouldn't call it coffee machine.

What is there not to like about this little hotel? They don't advertise a breakfast and there is none so you can't say that. I got a SPACIOUS room with internet that worked (my request to them to make sure). The room had a great heater, microwave and fridge. There is parking on the spacious site. This looks like an older hotel that has been kept in really good condition. And the pool? I didn't use it but I am SO SICK of hotels that use a special camera lense to make a pool a bit bigger than a bathtub to look like a real pool. This is a real pool (shallow) and extremely clean.

The only thing you could say is there's no breakfast but not all hotels, particularly in the LA area, have breakfasts and they don't advertise one.

had a relaxing and really pleasant stay at the hollywood city in...Everything was up to my expectations and in line with what I asked for when I made my reservation. For a 2 star hotel he did more than the job. Also, it is really well located for activities, commuting, shopping, etc.. The staff was very friendly and attentive. At the level of the rooms, nothing to say... passage of the charming cleaning ladies who came every day. Clean, decent and comfortable room. I knew how to organize the storage of my belongings without any problem... I recommend this hotel without any hesitation...

Parking included. Value is good in comparison to most hotels in Los Angeles.

Very old bathrooms

Location was very good. Grocery and dept stores and restaurants are within walking distance.

My only complain is that there is no hot water in the shower.

The pool was lovely for hanging out (and deep enough to dive into). It’s a convenient walk to tons of restaurants (Jitlada! Pa Ord Noodle!), strip clubs (Jumbo’s Clown Room), street food, and the Hollywood Star Walk. It was about a 45 min walk to the Chinese Theatre and all the wig shops in Hollywood.

I pretty much liked it all. I really appreciated that the rooms have tiled floors, it felt very clean, even though the hotel is a little bit old.

This is a tidy property on Western Ave just off Hollywood Blvd. Maybe a mile to Hollywood and Vine. Grocery store near by, tons of restaurants. The building we were in was very clean and neat. Our room was not at all cramped. Great beds, clean towels. There was a pool, but we did not try it. Plenty of parking.

The location is a two edged sword. Noisy at night from traffic and also from deranged people hollering at odd hours in the night. Very bright outdoor lighting! The backside of the bathroom door needed cleaning/dusting.

The place is comparatively affordable and very clean. The room is spacious and had a fridge, microwave and kettle.

The heater was very noise when used. I guess this is an issue only in this room, ad it sounded like a defective fan. Some guests where a bit noisy outside until the middle of night. But both is probably not normal for this place, so I guess I was just a bit unlucky.
