Hollywood Historic Hotel

This is a super cute and clean hotel! The staff went above and beyond! The cafe on the corner is lovely and the employees there were so sweet!

The location is great if you are planning on visiting Griffith Park. However, as a solo traveler I did not feel 100% comfortable walking in the area. (I felt super safe at the hotel, the area was just a little sketchy for my taste.)

What a beautiful little Jewel loved this hotel. Absolutely adored the concierge. They were fantastic. Hosts got very personable with them. The restaurant was fabulous. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.!

Didn’t love the location. It was sort of on its own with very few places to walk to but the few places that were accessible were great!

Nice, historic hotel in Hollywood. Very close to Paramount and about 3 miles from the TCL Chinese theater and walk of fame. Easy Uber ride although we walked to the theater from the hotel. Room comfy, staff great. Wonderful pictures of the old Hollywood legends adorn the walls on every floor! Free parking in the rear of the hotel. And we got a fantastic price for the area.

Small but important and super easy problem to fix:Like many hotels, there were no outlets to plug things in. Come on, people... ! It is 2022, and everyone needs to plug in their phone and maybe one or two other things in addition. They need to have some plugs readily available and not buried in the room.

The front desk staff were accommodating and very friendly. The lobby is beautiful and they have a really nice bar with outdoor seating. The bed was nice, we stayed on the 2nd floor and we can see the hollywood sign from the window. Good hotel, value for money.

Not a fault to the hotel but the area is not well connected to the public transport. If you plan to go straight to the LAX you will need an Uber/Lyft.

Property is very well located, walking distance from Paramount Studios and many bus stops in the surroundings. The room is big, bed was comfortable, big TV screen. Bathroom could've been bigger but it was fairly sized.

Would've loved a coffee machine but there was a great coffee shop few steps away.

The nostalgic effect of the hotel especially the door. The staff are friendly.

A really historic looking place specially the front door the staff are friendly too. The room is clean and the hotel smells good when you come in. It is just the carpet all over the hotel which is not great, it is not the hotel's fault it is just me since I don't like carpet much. The restaurant is close and boarded up a little. The lift is enough for 1 to 2 person. Close to everything but of course the hotel is in Hollywood so once you go out the hotel you see homeless people and their tents and teenagers hanging out smoking pot destroys the experience but all in all a great experience.

No exhaust fans in shower area. Location was convenient for the purpose I chose the motel, but in reality not a great deal on offer in the immediate facility.

The Hollywood Historic was central to the places we planned on visiting. We ate at their restaurant and the food was delicious. We paid for parking at the hotel during our stay which I highly recommend as it would have been hard to find a parking spot elsewhere. The staff was very friendly. This was a family vacation. My kids are teens and older. It was the perfect spot for us.

We arrived right before midnight and it was easy to park and easy to get into the hotel. The front desk was very nice. The next morning, my son and I had a tour and we asked if we could leave our car parked in their lot so we could walk to the tour and we wouldn't be back until after check out time and they were happy to let us do so. The room was extremely clean.

I wished I would have asked for a room on the back side away from the street because there was traffic noise all night and it was cool enough to leave the window open, but we turned on the ac (thankfully, it ran quietly) to help keep out some of the traffic noise.
