Holiday Inn Los Angeles - LAX Airport, an IHG Hotel

Free shuttle bus was helpful allowing transport to the hotel. Easy and quick check in procedure.

Would have made it easier to specify that the hotel shuttle bus has the hotel name on it when disclosing the information of how to catch it. It really wasn't clear at the airport and I had to ask at information. It added unnecessary stress late at night when arriving after a long haul flight. Walls of room quite thin and could hear people in adjoining room quite easily.

Whole hotel was great. First, the shuttle from LAX was very convenient, both arriving and when my stay ended. I had an early flight in, and I arrived well before check-in. Front desk staff was great, and found a room that was available and allowed me to check-in early for free. The bed and pillows were some of the best I'd ever slept on in a hotel and really, isn't that the most important thing? Room was clean, AC worked great, and shower pressure was good (although shower head was a little low, but I'm over 6-feet tall, so if you're not, it shouldn't be a problem). I did have to work a bit while I was there, and the desk area was very comfortable and free Wi-Fi worked terrific! Location was pretty good. It's a short distance for the airport, there's a McDonald's right in front of the hotel if you need a quick bite to eat and don't want to go to the in-hotel restaurant. (It looked good but I didn't eat there.) LA isn't the most walkable city, but you can hit a few places in the Inglewood area on foot from here. I visited Randy's Donuts, which was about a 20-30 minute walk north, and an LA landmark with the giant donut on the roof. There is also a very conveniently located Amazon locker about 10 minute walk away at the Denny's if you forgot to bring something and need to order. I did walk east a bit toward SoFi Stadium. It's a LONG walk and I felt a little unsafe walking under the 405, and would recommend an Uber/Lyft for that one. It can be done, but you're better off getting a ride share OR, if you're going for a game, the hotel offers a shuttle to and from for $35 round-trip, which sounds like a good deal to me.

I thought the restaurant was a little expensive, so I didn't try it. Breakfast was $21 for AUCE -- I don't eat a lot of breakfast so it didn't seem like a value. And you couldn't really do a la carte for anything other than muffins or pastries. Toilet was a little difficult to flush, but it worked and didn't pose any issues, handle was just a little weird. There isn't a microwave in the room, which was my only real complaint. I didn't see one in the lobby or another common area either. Would have been nice to reheat some leftovers. There was a refrigerator, but I didn't find it until the third day! It's in a cabinet under the TV.

Perfect location for travelling by air, round the corner to LAX, free shuttle service to the airport running every 20 mins, clean and comfortable room, comfortable beds,

pool was a bit faded (broken chair, left plastic cups),

I don't like the fact that my 100 dollar holding deposit has not be returned to my account.

The concierge, Joe, is really what made my experience so wonderful. I had a bad experience trying to get a car rental, and decided to take the airport shuttle to the hotel instead. When I was utterly frustrated and starting to feel dejected about the whole trip, Joe stepped up and took care of getting me an early check-in. After some time in my room he informed me of all the services they had to offer and even helped me book a couple tours. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay because of him!

It would have been nice if the hotel had included a list of local restaurants that would deliver to the hotel. Other than that, I really can't imagine anything else needing improvement.

One night there was a few loud noises from other guests

I like that they gave out Dove soap. That was a huge plus for me.

I didnt like that my headphones came up missing. And then when i left my neck pillow in the room and keys in the room i asked the cleaning lady to open the room she said she didnt have the key and the other lady on the floor didnt have the key. But I heard them say in Spanish that I was looking for my headphones but i said neck pillow. (i look black but im puerto rican) I thought that was super weird but I didnt care bc I just needed my neck pillow and i was more upset about them not opening up the door.

The shuttle driver was excellent. The night of my arrival, he stopped just to pick me up. I think he may have actually been done for the night. I will come again to this motel mainly because of him. Great fellow. I hope you realize what you have as an employee in him. On the other hand, I purchased a stale bag of potato chips from you reception area. I came down with them and asked that they be omitted from my bill but the gal at the front desk did not remove the charge as she said she would.

The rooms were very comfortable. My kids spent their evening in the pool which they enjoyed. I really liked that you have to be a guest with a room card to enter the bathroom and other entrances besides the main lobby. It made my family feel secure.

When I got there for check in, I got 2 rooms, there was only 1 room ready for me, I had to wait for 15 min to get another one, and even then my 1st room had to be switched to a different floor. I left the hotel later that day and when i came back, the parking ticket reader was unable to read my ticket and I had to obtain another one, couldn't find parking and got approval from security guard to park in a spot after I drove around looking for a parking spot. There should be more spots for the guest to park their cars, especially with the $25 parking fee.

Happy Hour was great for drinks and food, a reasonable selection from both Denny’s walking distance, McDonald’s outside but was closed for renovations for our stay. Staff very helpful with anything. This was a short stop over with complimentary transport to and from airport so all in all perfect. The only reason I did not give excellent to value for money is that we all wish things were cheaper but it was competitive pricing 😁

Nothing but a Discounted breakfast would keep us in the hotel rather than walk to another establishment
