The Dylan Hotel at SFO

SamTrans bus from the airport (1 floor below the arrivals level) brings you in 5 minutes to the Millbrea-BART station, which is across the street from the hotel. Free coffee at check-in. Good shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner. No street noise during the night (we slept with the window open - which has a fly screen btw). If you want to go downtown, the BART train will take you there in about 25 minutes. A cosy hotel with eye for the environment.

There are supposed to be small breakfast options for take away, but we didn't see any. The coffee at the reception is good, as long as you take it with milk.

Location is excellent and quite safe for San Francisco. We used SFO as a central point of visiting San Francisco and surrounding cities which is quite convenient. This hotel seems like a old motel converted into a higher end hotel. Decoration is more modern with minimal facilities and breakfast options (which we didn't care for anyways). Bed is comfortable with soft sheets and fluffy pillows.

1. San Francisco was 11 degrees celcius at night during our visit at the end of June so we had to turn on the heater which was very loud. 2. Due to jetlag, we slept until 9:30 am when we were woken up by house cleaning, granted we didn't put the do not disturb sign on the door.

Everything’s clean and neat, bed was SO soft and comfortable and I loved that external hallways were not accessible from outside the hotel. Front desk staff was super nice and they hold up my luggage for me to pick it up before going to the airport. Water bottles were very useful as I could take them with me to the city. Walking distance from: CVS, Walgreen’s, Starbuck, In-N-Out, Chipotle. The Social Eatery (which is in the same block) has amazing food for asian cuisine and boba tea lovers like me. I’m very very happy that I chose to stay at the Dylan ☺️

Only taking points down for lightning. I had to turn on all the lamps one by one to have good light.

We booked the hotel for one night to be close to the airport for next day's departure. The hotel is located 10 minutes from SFO. It is close but quiet. Parking is available FOC. The room was very clean and comfortable, equipped with a record player and vinyl records. Bath robes are also included. Small breakfast items can be bought at the front desk. The hotel is equipped with a professional coffee machine and can be used FOC. Wine and liquor are also available in the lobby. Hotel staff is friendly and professional.

The door to the balcony could not be opened. It was locked and the door opener was missing.

This was an amazing place to stay. I’ve stayed in several hotels and this was by far one of my favorite places. Will definitely stay here again and already recommended to several folks planning to visit San Francisco. Very clean and a great atmosphere.

The parking was a little struggle. If you’re driving s larger vehicle, good luck. However, I would still stay here regardless and even push all the suitcases up the hills if I had to. This place is definitely worth it. Neal’s coffee shop was amazing as well and gives a discount if staying at the hotel.

I have recently reviewed the Dylan. It's our first choice for SFO accommodation. Why? . Good free parking . close to SFO but more economical than Grand Hyatt . All rooms are spacious (I think we've used every configuration over the years) . Clean! Quiet! . comfortable beds & linens . desk with chair . companion chair ! . 2 luggage racks . excellent coffee in room/ free mixed coffee in lobby . good lighting . good sized shower . bathroom sink has room for 2 grooming kits . a FACECLOTH . Glass tumblers in bathroom and guest room . cork screw ! . a variety of wine / spirits/snacks available for purchase at reception . no uneven floors to trip on during the night . record player for vinyl records provided in some rooms . balcony overlooking train museum in some rooms . everything is always waiting for your arrival, arranged perfectly for you . great breakfast restaurant a very short walkaway (Neal's) . a good variety of dinner restaurants a short walk the other direction . this is simply a feel good place

The location next to the airport makes it easy to get in and out of the airport. Takeaways and restaurants next to the hotel provide three meals a day. The surrounding environment is very safe, and children can go to the restaurant next to the hotel to buy meals. Upgraded rooms with refrigerators and microwaves make you feel like you are at home. Bring a free cup of coffee from the lobby back to a clean and quiet room to listen to the songs played on the record and instantly boost your sense of well-being. I have recommended this super value-for-money hotel to my friends. I wish the hotel business is booming!

The whole place had a great retro vibe, the room had character and was cozy and stayed pretty quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was a bit small but fully functional. Loved the balcony and view of planes landing at the airport. Staff was friendly and on site and surrounding amenities were great. Proximity to SFO was very convenient.

Bathroom finish could have been done just a touch better. It all worked fine but you could tell the recaulking, paint and such were rushed.

The Dylan possesses style and personality . Each room has unique artwork. Delux rooms have balconies and a turn table. The lobby has zen music and a nespresso machine. Also there's an outdoor patio with a fountain. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. This is a small boutique hotel with a fun, mid century modern vibe close to SFO.

They have grab and go breakfast which is okay. A complimentary breakfast would be a nice addition.

Both Myra and Anna was exceptionally accommodating with our request and made our stay incredibly enjoyable and memorable; also, they were incredibly kind to our family. As for our room experience, we loved the little touches (turntable and balcony; also, the shampoo and conditioner was divine!) as it was thoughtful in every way. Thank you for having us. We will definitely be back!

Free continental breakfast would've been nice.
