La Quinta by Wyndham Modesto Salida

I stayed here overnight while my spouse was hospitalized at Modesto Kaiser Hospital. The hotel is only 5 mins away by car and right off the freeway. The price was reasonable. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate with hot as well as cold items, including protein (egg and cheese omelette, sausage, Hard boiled eggs) not just breads and cereals. There are food options adjacent and lots of shopping a short distance away by car.

What a huge improvement. The hotel has been remodeled. Also, the hotel was dog friendly . The room was clean with great beds. The hotel had been updated and looked nice. The air conditioner worked great. We liked the new floors. All the carpet had been replaced with new flooring, so much better. We will definitely come back again. The staff was really nice. The lady who checked us in was great. The maid Maria was fabulous. I left her a tip. She really took care of us.

No fans in the bathrooms. There were homeless people sitting outside of the property. Also, a man parked in beat up car and slept in his car for two days. He cleaned his car out leaving a mess in the side parking lot. They need someone to ask these people to leave the property. Also, parking was a problem. We came in late after a wedding and there wasn't any place to park. People sleeping in their cars need to move to another location.

I came to the hotel after another one failed to book the room I paid for. Not only did this hotel give me exactly what I asked for they also took a really bad night and turned it around. The front desk person was so amazing. I believe her name was christy. She let me vent about my bad experience and then when she ran my card for the room it went threw but the deposit did not because my bank flagged it due to all of the payments for hotels since the last one still charged me. She didn't make a big deal about it which was nice because it saved me from the embarrassment of my card being declined. She was very kind while my bank had me on hold for 18 minutes. She even got my husband in a better mood. We are definitely customers for life thanks to her. If you want a nice stay in a beautiful hotel this is the one. The lobby is so beautiful I even told my husband how it would make such a great space to take photos of my clients if at all possible I would love to do that at this location.

I would have liked a more comfortable bed.

No problems no shortcomings. Appreciate their honoring the floor request. Location had breakfast, was clean and updated, had a tub handlebar, fridge, and microwave.

No issues with the property. Would only recommend tightening up the elevator control panel. Patronizing a Wyndham establishment is the only drawback. Wyndham is a known ripoff timeshare company with strong arm selling presentations.

Upon arrival I checked in with a super nice young lady that was so helpful and nice. I stayed for a total of 14 days and had no issues, the room was clean and comfortable, they are dog friendly which was such a great experience! So many pets at the hotel but yet they keep it so clean!

Only thing I didn’t love was that the key to the side doors would need to be reset every other day of so. Not sure if that was due to my long stay or what but they would stop working for the side doors and the gym but still worked for the room

Staff was great and got us right in. Eugenie was awesome. We were stuck on the train and had to cancel our room. We actually arrived at the Modesto train station and 4 am and we were exhausted after being stuck for 12 hours on the train during a snowstorm. Eugenie happily booked us back in to our same room and was a welcoming presence after a major transportation debacle. I always stay here and it is always consistently what I expect or better.

Hotel was clean, bed and room was very comfortable, staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful.

The only thing that kept this from a perfect rating was, the first room had a very noisy bathroom fan disturbing even the living area. We were given another room and this one had a high pitched whine, don't know where it was coming from. This noise was bearable and after a while it wasn't a bother. Would stay here again if the noise can be fixed

Air conditioner and the pool... The bed was great as well.

Another guest was discriminating my son. Calling him fat and asking him how many pizzas he eats at a time. My husband confronted him and he lied and said he didn't say that. We were then notified by the front desk that there was now a no contact order and my husband was not to talk to the other guy. No apologies for how we were treated or anything. We have stayed here numerous times. It's a great location, friendly staff, and clean facilities however, we were made out to be the "bad guys".

Our only issue was that we had to ask 3 times to get a roll-away bed to our room. It worked out eventually and understandable because there was only one person running the front check-in.

Location is perfect from Hwy 99. It's always clean, nice staff, affordable and spacious.

The palm trees need to be trimmed outside the window. They were scraping on the window directly in the breeze, making it hard to sleep.
