SpringHill Suites by Marriott Modesto

Perla, Kaitlyn, Reema and Rosalinda are part of the front desk staff and they were very professional, accommodating and personable. The company can be proud to have these girls work for them. In fact I cannot say enough good things about the cleanliness of the rooms and the presentation/taste of the breakfast offerings. Even though I was not able to thank them personally, the company can be proud of the work the Maid Service and Food Service provides as well.

The only request I could make is to invest in a more comfortable sofabed. I made a mistake and booked through Booking.com and was not able to receive points to my membership so that would be another thing I did not like.

Electric did not work on her side of the bed. I spoke to the night manager who seemed to be try to find lodging at another place (Marriott was full) and he said “I’ll be happy to refund you for your room”. Which I felt would have solved both his immediate problems. But maybe I misunderstood his meaning.

My friends and I that stayed at the facility loved the location and the fact it wasn't far from the places we were going to,,, and the room was nice, clean and comfortable.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I walked in and the staff that was helping the other guest did not stop to just acknowledge me,, and say that they'd be with me in just a moment. Luckily the other young lady that came to help and assisted me was very friendly, and apologized for the wait I had. I let her know that I appreciated her help.

I really liked the location, close to everything. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selections were delicious, as was the coffee. Great amenities and overall, I enjoyed my visit. Thank you C

To be honest ... Everything was very good thank you no complaints.

It was very clean and walking distance to shopping and food.

My only concern was that I know Modesto isn’t a very safe city. But the staff went out of their way to make me and especially my children feel safe and that was the best part.

We didn't eat breakfast, only coffee, which was good and hot.

Booking. com had my name incorrect on the list, they had me under Maria - instead of Anna, a huge different, it took the hotel 20 minutes to look me up, thanks to Springhill managers they worked with me.

My family and I enjoyed the hot tub, and my girls enjoyed playing his and seek in our room. They said it’s so big and cool places to hide. My husband and I loved the bed and how comfortable it was.

We called at 9:26 am to double check the breakfast time and they said they closed it down because it’s over at 9:30. So I was a bit annoyed that we couldn’t take advantage with 4 minutes left. We had a rough day the day before. Traveling from Nevada to Modesto for a memorial service, so waking up super early was not in our agenda lol

Easy access from freeway and the staff was very friendly and helpful room was very comfortable

Housecleaning was a little lax some issues with their cleaning and finding some discarded items from previous guests

Overall good. Breakfast was not always refilled timely. Good quality food.

There was no offer to refresh towels/washcloths during stay. We also had to request coffee refills every day. I understand COVID is still an issue but this does not preclude offering these things.

Pros: 1- Beautiful room 2- Clean linen, bathroom, sheet 3- Staff helpful, friendly and polite 4- Bed was comfortable

Con: 1- Pull out sofa was very uncomfortable like sleeping on Springs... horrible 2- Pet Deposit very high 3- Breakfast was disappointing... all carbs, some yucky yogurt and a few pieces of fresh fruit. Coffee was bad.
