Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

The front desk, restaurant workers and the valet parkers were exceptional!! Great customer service! The food was good. The grounds of the hotel are nice and relaxing. I will be back!

The rooms were clean..but there were some areas where it could have been cleaned better..like finger prints on the small mirror in the bathroom and lipstick and dirt on the door leading to bathroom.This is a nice hotel..guest should see good cleaning in there rooms.upon arrival, not a rush job of cleaning . Overall..it was a nice room. I always bring my bleach wipes anyway when I stay overnight . This was a last minute trip..I will get a different location next time.Too much noise and dogs barking.😳 where I was located .

Location and cleanliness of the hotel.

The front desk staff did not have a friendly or pleasant expression. He was flat and short with his answers. He just checked us in and did not offer any recommendations when asked. I also asked about any discounts for UCSD students, and he straight out said no, even though the website says they do offer a discount. The staff at checkout was the same, very flat and not friendly at all. I have stayed at Estancia 3 times in the past and even got married here. I always had a very pleasant experience at checkin and check out, but on this visit, I did not feel welcomed at all.

I loved staying at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. Love its Spanish charm - truly a charming boutique hotel. It has a courtyard with many places to sit and relax if not exploring La Jolla on a beautiful day. There are 2 restaurants on the property as well. The Mustangs & Burros an al fresco setting situated opens for dinner and the Greenfinch Restaurant which is open for brunch. I have dined at both during my stay. All the rooms have a French doors that either open to the garden or the courtyard. I was able to stay in both.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Well-kept Grounds, beautiful garden and the friendly staff. My daughter and I enjoy the stay at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. Both the breadfast offerings and the dining restraurant Mustangs & Burros were delicious. The hotel staff are really awesome! Before our arrival my email request was answered very friendly and on time. My daughter forgot her wallet in the dining restraurant and we are so gratful that the reception lady of Mustang& Burros and Drake at the front desk helped us to find it back. Natalia was very patient to explain us everything during the check-in and made the checkout very efficietly. Thank you for a great stay!

The hotel property is very beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. I also really appreciated the effort the Front Desk team took to make our stay feel special. Prior to arriving they texted me to see if we had any needs to plan for before we got to the hotel. I indicated that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and they helped us with a room upgrade and complimentary drinks from Mustangs & Burros. They also sent my wife handwritten birthday cards, which was a nice touch.

There were only two items that were not ideal, but both were minor, and did not necessarily take away from our experience. The first is that our sink drained really slowly, so it clearly had a clog of some sort. We could have called maintenance, but it was truly worth the hassle. The second is that we couldn’t figure out how to mirror our phones to the TV so that we could watch something besides Netflix. The hotel did offer to send an Engineer to check it out, but again it wasn’t that big of a deal, so we didn’t bother.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I requested to change rooms because my original room smelled musty and felt damp inside. A wonderful clerk at the reception changed my room to a higher level floor without any delays or complications. My new room was bright, lovely, and welcoming!

I ordered oatmeal for breakfast. It was not cooked long enough. The consistency was soupy with too much water and it wasn’t thoroughly hot. Also, the pool staff was not very attentive with taking our order or checking if we needed anything.

The property was beautiful. There were many outdoor spaces to relax in. The room was spacious, clean, and relaxing. We stayed here the night after our wedding. It was a great place to have a mini-moon. Location is amazing- short drive to the Gliderport, Salk Institute, UTC mall, and La Jolla Playhouse. Many good restaurants and grocery stores nearby too.

They knew we were a party of 2 as they left us a Congratulatory note for our wedding, however, the set up of the room up for 1 person- 1 chair on balcony, 1 towel, 1 robe. We let the front staff know about the robe and they sent up another one so they were accomodating.

Almost everything. The room, staff, and service were all exactly what someone would expect from a five star hotel. Thank you for the great stay!

I will only stay here for a day, so I'm not really sure. Everything was great as far as I'm aware. The only issue I had(and this is a bit petty) was the red wine placed on a tray in the corner of the room. Due to religious reasons plus my age(18), it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The solution to any future visitors would be simple, just remove the bottle and ask them later if they want it. Thanks!

The accommodations were great and the location was nice. You're close to the beach and everyone is friendly. The facilities are beautiful and well kept.

There are a number of extra fees. The parking fee is a little absurd, as is charging for EV's. The only way to charge your EV is to valet park which is an extra fee in itself. I selected this location for the added bonus of having a tesla destination charger, however I skipped the valet once I saw the extra fees. It would have cost just as much to supercharge nearby.

Location! I was there to drop my daughter off at UCSD.

Many of the ice machines and water machines were not in working order. I had to spend several minutes wandering the halls trying to find one that worked
