TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Diego Airport/Liberty Station

It's a great place, the staff was super helpful. We were just sleeping there for a layover so we didn't really had time to enjoy the place. We had to leave very early to catch our flight and the hotel had shuttle to go to the airport.

Not that it is the hotel's fault but at the airport, nobody seems to know this hotel nor where it was. I asked at information desk and it seems like it was the first time they were hearing about this hotel. Then same with the Taxi driver, so much so that he got confuse and was bringing us to the wrong direction (hopefully, I was checking on my phone map and realized it quickly). I'm not native English speaker but I was showing the name of the place and the address on my phone. Maybe it was just bad luck.

Easy location, clean room, loved the laptop desk to use in bed so I could watch tv while catching up on emails and reports. Breakfast was good but I don’t love the individuality wrapped sandwiches, seems like single-use waste that unnecessary and I was surprised to see it in California. Probably a great location but I was there on the grayest, rainiest day possible so I had no idea there was a beach or even the harbor nearby. Good to know for next time.

Maybe the worst shower head and water pressure in the history of the world. I genuinely wasn’t sure it could even rinse the shampoo out of my hair, I was actually shocked at how terrible it was. The bathroom is very nice and clean, I just couldn’t believe how awful the shower was.

I loved the energy conserving lighting system that required your key card to activate the lighting. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable.

The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast. The egg/cheese English muffin was tasteless. Too much cheese and not enough egg. The other option was a spinach quiche which looked burnt. Both items were premade and in wrappers. The one “fresh” item was the oatmeal and that was almost gone. would have loved some cut up fruit(melons) versus the whole fruit.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Poor breakfast, but... there was a breakfast. Thank you!

There was no mention about paying for parking. It's not that expensive, but the costs should not be hidden.

The complimentary breakfast options exceeded expectations for sure and the staff were really nice

We booked a 2 queen room as we needed separate beds and they gave us a room with one bed and then said they couldn’t accommodate our pre paid 2 beds as they were full. I thought that was bizarre . If someone pre pays for something 2 months in advance you should set that specific room type aside for the day they arrive

Kitchen was great as was having a bathtub. Perla and Julio were fantastic.

The airport shuttle says Hampton inn on front and on the side front. Towne place is mentioned toward the rear sides. Unless you are really studying the bus you will miss the shuttle. Marriott should have communicated that in an email or when I called the day before to inquire about a shuttle

Hotel was exceptionally clean. Airport shuttle service was excellent both to and from the airport. Excellent location for early flight and not too far from downtown if you have a car. Airport noise was barely noticeable. Beds were comfy.

Breakfast could have been better. It would have been exceptional of there were some gluten free options, even something simple like an apple or gluten free cereal like Cheerios. That is a small complaint since I don't ever expect much from a hotel breakfast. My son thought the TV was in a very weird place on the wall (I have to agree) and that the bathroom door was in a strange place (eh).

The pool was nice. Water was warm and thankfully no one was there so kids had it all to themselves. I really liked the layout of the room, so much space and comforts of being home. I also liked the view of the city and the fact that all doors/entryways are locked. The breakfast pastries and juice selection was great. Should be advertised as a continental breakfast. I also liked that you can get food delivered, we had Italian and they delivered right to our door.

I didn't like the breakfast. They had these weird sausage patties and eggs that didn't smell right. The coffee was watery but they did have a good pastry selection. I didn't like that I had to wait 2 hours to get towels and trash bags. I don't mind throwing/ cleaning everything myself but we were forgotten and I had to go downstairs to get the towels. Also there was a weird stain on our comforter. Thankfully we don't use the hotels blankets but it was kind of gross.

The hotel provided free breakfast. Perfect location, it is close to downtown, San Diego Airport and parks. The room is clean and bed is comfortable.

Provide a better breakfast like eggs, bacon, sausage and add more seating area. The room is a bit small.
