Mt. Gleason Motorlodge

I appreciate how simple but dignified the accommodations are at Mt. Gleason. The lodge's accessibility to nearby recreational resources and fun, unique places in that area is perfect. The retro accommodations are stylish and fun. Its our main place to go!

When first entering our room there was a strong antiseptic smell. I am glad that the rooms are thoroughly clean, but airing the room out after cleaning or using an aromatherapy spray when done cleaning would make a more attractive difference! Thank you Mt. Gleason, we love you!

Small. Friendly, considerate and reliable staff. Simple, not fancy accommodations. Excellent location. Close to my work location. Close to many restaurants (great variety), many in walking distance. Close to grocery store.

Needed more/larger towels. Had a few minor maintenance problems. A bit pricey considering few amenities.

I like the fact that it's worry-free an my small daughter is comfortable being in an unfamiliar place. The owners of the property (management) really show there compassion an loyalty with there guest an in their rooms an outside appearance.

Once in awhile you come across others that have no filter for there lifestyle. Just be glad you're only passing through! Go to management !! They got you!

Location was great they have some good restaurants also fast food places like McDonald's Jack in the box 7-Eleven is down the street right here a lot of places to have a good breakfast.

Off to bed I can't really think of anything.

This is a cute old time travel lodge fixed up. The rooms were large, the bed comfortable. The grounds very nice with all the trees and bushes. There were several places within walking distance to eat. It was quiet and secure.

The unit was extremely clean. I felt secure for my vehicle and myself.

The a/c unit seemed to struggle to keep the unit cool. It might need serviced or it may reached the end of it's service life as it appears to be an older unit. I was satisfied with everything else about the room.

I didn't take breakfast near the area however, food places such as fast food joints, to eat dinner was the best. Vons is nearby so you can buy dinner plates or noodles to microwave since they have one!!! Which is a plus for me. I really like the lamp since it has more outlets to charge all your devices. This place is like an ikea lol except the motel blankets. Maybe upgrade on the color choices to make you forget about problems. Like a great place to (escape/vacation) stay like home away from home. Lol. I love the furniture for the refrigerator /microwave. I want to buy one for my new, small apartment!!!!

I wasn't sure about the bathroom maybe it needs an electric scrubbing tool you use on the tiles of bathroom. It is fast and it scrubs deep. My aunt has one. It takes years off. You plug it in and charge for 3 hours. You can buy it at Walmart or Target. I'm not sure the price. Maybe 19.99 now versus back then? It comes with multiple heads for different cleaning. If there are business people maybe have a small coffee pot just in case they come here to stay or buy a tester... Not sure what kind of customers you get however, it's worth a try... Don't buy unless you do get those clients that come in with business suit or are traveling from business. I'm only trying to make a suggestion. And upgrade the towels or deep bleach it.

Room was clean and staff was friendly.

Blankets on bed were super thin so it was really cold at night. Make sure to bring an extra blanket. Also, I wasn’t told that there would be a $5 deposit for the room key. I didn’t have cash, so the person at the front desk said it was okay. But just be aware.

I may have missed the fine print, and fairly insignificant, but I was surprised to find they recoup their credit card company surcharge by adding on 2% when you pay.
