Baymont by Wyndham Yreka

The room was clean and everything worked. There was a decent selection of TV channels. The pool area looked nice. Complimentary granola bars for the kids at check-in. This property only advertised a "continental breakfast" but (with Covid restrictions) the breakfast here was better than a couple of the full breakfast accommodations we stayed at. It had fruit cups, yogurt, a couple microwave breakfast options, and pastries -- oddly no bread or bagels.

No elevator (or at least none that I spotted). The person who checked us in was a bit grumpy (otherwise staff seemed fine). In the morning, the pool was being used for a senior water aerobics class (or something). This is great for the community and I hope they keep doing it, but if you like to swim before hitting the road, make sure you know when the pool is available.

Sonia greeted me as I stumbled in around midnight. After a 12 hour drive and a scare on the mountain roads, it was nice to see a smiling face. She was very welcoming. The beds are comfortable and morning staff was an absolute pleasure to speak with. I loved it so much we decided to stay another night!

Fridge has knocking sound and no fans in bathroom. Nothing major.

OUTSTANDING!!! Nothing negative to say about my 2 day stay. Both rooms I booked were well beyond my expectations. Chose not to use the indoor pool, but it was available & looked great (my balcony overlooked the pool/spa area). Staff was very helpful when asking about local eateries & directions. The breakfast buffet had to be canceled due to recent edicts from the governor but there was an ample supply of breakfast foods (burritos were pretty good!). Very quiet location as well. Mexican taqurita a few blocks North on the West side of the street had a huge wood-fired grill in front cooking all the meats & if in the area is alone worth getting off I-5 for a meal. I'll not stay anywhere else on my trips North...it truly was a great find!

The fact that the Windham I stayed at in Sacramento the night before was the polar opposite of this location...seriously!!!

Beds were comfortable. Rooms were spacious.very clean and quiet.

The exterior needed a lot of attention. Generally it was falling apart. Well used parking lot, with potholes and cracks. Building needed a good paint job. Landscaping was crying out in pain. Dead shrubbery everywhere. Entrances to the building needed new carpeting, looks like something from the 90's. The inside rooms were dated with cracked furniture. They too should be remodeled. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

Breakfast was great. Hot eggs and sausage. Also a "make your own" waffel as well as cereal, oatmeal and fruit. It would have been nice to have some GF options for Oatmeal or cereal, but we're used to those challenges.

There is nothing I can think of that I would have wanted or expected to be better.

It was clean and quiet.

We were given a room by the back hallway door but the door was 'out of order ' so we needed to walk fairly far to use the next entrance way and then back down to the end of the hallway. It was not busy so to give us a room so far away was confusing.

A fair breakfast with a reasonable variety. Motel is ideally located and the rooms are spacious and, in our case, quiet. The bed was comfortable and clean. The indoor pool is a big advantage!

While well-maintained, the motel is need of remodeling. Things aren't broken, but showing their age.

Great staff. My husband, 6 month old baby and myself stayed the weekend and they were very accommodating with getting us a crib for the baby to sleep it. Beds were very comfortable

No elevators which made it difficult with a baby. We had the spa room and had to clean it out ourselves before we used it. The rest of the room was very clean, the tub just needed a bit more TLC especially the tiles surrounding it.

The breakfast was surprising. There were many choices and everything tasted delicious. Staff was on top of stocking and cleanliness. Pool was very comfortable, plenty of towels and the spa was clean and toasty. staff was very pleasant and eager to help.

Breakfast was great. Had the eggs and sausage. Microwave, fridge, ironing board and iron. Big shower! Great price. Really liked the little town of Yreka. Having a Black Bear restaurant next door was a pleasant surprise.

The weather. It was hot in Yreka.
