Callahan's Lodge

The grounds are attractive and the view from the balcony, air conditioning, and the private jacuzzi tub all added to our comfort. It's only a short drive from downtown and the facilities are pet friendly. When we needed a few things like plates and bowls to use the kitchenette, the staff were gracious and helpful!

There was some stress when we arrived because we had been put in the wrong type of room. Luckily, they were able to switch us to the correct room type before other affected guests arrived. There was also a ant problem in the room. Every time you set anything on the dining table or night stands, it would have ants on it within minutes. Once we realized, we hid our food in the fridge and our cooler and we're fine, but those surfaces were also sticky like maybe food residue from past guests was keeping the ants there.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming and made it feel like home. The Lodge itself is in a lovely setting, surrounded by mountains and forest. We were lucky to go whilst it was snowing, so it looked even more beautiful. Breakfast is continental and tasty. They have a self service pancake making machine too. The room was very clean and a perfect temperature for our arrival. The jacuzzi bath was delightful and the bed was extremely comfortable, with great pillows too. There are facilities to make tea and coffee and a decent sized fridge in the room. Lots of sockets to charge your electricals

Nice room, easy check-in, waiter at restaurant bar was very helpful and although they closed at 8pm and my husband's flight didn't get in until 10pm, he made us drinks with ice on sude and helped me order food that would be easy to reheat when my husband got in. Parking was close, price was good, but should have upgraded to riom with fireplace. Didn't know that was an option. Large room, bed was comfortable. Love having glass wine glass and ceramic coffee mugs in the room and robes.

Continental breakfast was the absolute worst I have ever had in all my travels. Sounds harsh, but it was that bad. Even the hardboiled eggs tasted like pladtic, bread tasted stale. It would have been wonderful if restaurant was open, would have lived to pay for a good hot breakfast. Also, room was fairly clean, but a sock was found in the closet that wasn't ours and a piece of dog food was near the back door. A note stating the breaker trips for jacuzzi tub would have been nice, instead if having to call maintenance to show us where it was. Lightning was an issue as well, too dark or crazy bright. Would be awesome with dimmers for romantic feel.

we loved the place! the location was so nice and quiet on our journey home… and our rate through the website made it an easy pick. we got in late and the desk clerk took wonderful care of us and our pup. the tub was fantastic! loved the eco friendly products for the bathroom, too. room was well appointed with everything you could need, and the bed was super comfy! we were grateful for the extra pillows in the closet as well. the robe was such a lovely touch, too. and having coffee on the patio in rocking chairs in the morning?? yes please!

little worn in, but that’s not a big deal. it’s a pet friendly spot so it’s expected to have some loved and lived-in feel!

What a lOvely place with breathtaking views, amazing staff, and management. The new chef, who was previously at the JACKSONVILLE INN.before it unexpectedly closes 12 weeks ago, is AMAZING!!! They were closed when we arrived 3 hours early, but the manager and owner opened the restaurant just for us, and he made the most amazing meals. The manager and owners visited with us and made us feel like family!! I CAN'T RECCOMMEND CALLAHAN'S LODGE HIGHLY ENOUGH, and we EVEN booked this next coming there.

I loved the restaurant and especially the bartender. Met the owners and they were very friendly and appreciative that we were staying here. The room is a bit dated but clean except for a carpet spot that needs to be shampooed. I was able to overlook that because they really try to go out of their way to give you a lot of extras, including extra toiletries in the bathroom, in room coffee, real glassware including giant wine glasses, very nice towels and the most comfortable bed on this weeklong trip so far! I was willing to stay longer! And come back!

We stayed in an end room on the lowest floor. It seems to be near a service area and was very smelly outside of our room. That was a bit of a turn off. But inside our room it was not smelly at all.

I was in two separate rooms because I was snowed in one day and had to stay one more night and both times the coffee machines in the rooms did not work It was extremely understaffed as well - the staff did not seem interested at all, and accommodating me I asked for help to get snow off my car, and they pointed to a shovel out by the door - and no one could help me with my bags

Great amenities. Especially the in-room jacuzzi. Just when I thought the restaurant and bar were already amazing, there’s a game room, gym, a room porch, and a little gift-shop filled with movie dvd’s you can take back to your room and watch! I’ve been to about 20+ different hotels now and this place really takes the cake. An absolute gem. They even had a little stage in the restaurant area for a concert they were having on Friday. Lived like a king for a night :) Clean towels and a good assortment of soaps and shampoo.

Room 12’s door took a good bit of effort to push open but that only conditions you to be stronger for the gym right down the hall.

The beautiful facility & grounds - amazingly gorgeous location, near the ski resort. Loved the windows so we could watch the snow fall while cozy in our room, and the balcony.

The fireplace was a welcome perk, but unfortunately fires would go out constantly and caused a lot of smoke in the room so we finally gave up on having fires. We aren’t novice fire builders either!

Room was good sized and had everything it needed

1st, the place was great. I would have liked to see better selection in their "store" for snacks. The carpet in the room is greatly in need of bring changed out - stained and worn. Ordered room service and it took over an 1 hour, h0ad yo go back to the front desk to check on it. Got it 10 minutes after that and it was wonderful food!
