Holiday Inn Express Yreka-Shasta Area, an IHG Hotel

It was clean. Everything looked nice and in good or very good condition. We loved the lighting options in the bedroom. The room also had a fridge, microwave, and 2 bottles of water included. The water was very much appreciated as we arrived so late and tired after a looong road trip. Amazing breakfast included. The kiddos loved the food. We had to check out early, but we like that the checkout time was 12pm. Overall, we had an excellent stay! We only wish we could have enjoyed the hotel a few more days!

Toilet seat a little loose.

Breakfast was quite good: scrambled eggs (omelets were "okay"), sausage, biscuits with gravy, plus cold items such as cereals, yogurt, fruit, pastries, etc. Coffee was also tasty. Facility has been remodeled within the last two years and is quite clean and comfortable. Room was spacious and bed provided a good night's sleep.

Toilet seat was a bit loose and running water from the adjacent unit was noisy in the early morning.

I love the modern design and arrangements in the room. I loved that there were outlets all around the room. Great workspace area for computer with its own lamp. The lighting was excellent and well placed around the room with easy switches. Clean room. Convenient power window covering in my ground floor room. Very friendly and helpful staff named, Christian and Anna, and also the lady I talked to before booking the room.

The beds were amazingly comfortable, the internet was better and faster than most hotel internet service, the hot breakfast was really appreciated and we enjoyed the indoor pool. It was a bit more expensive than the other hotels in the area, but you get what you pay for.

I'm really not sure anything could have been better. As I said above, it was more expensive than other hotels in the area, but you get what you pay for and overall it was worth it.

Very pleasant surprise. Driving home from Los Angeles with our bikes and wanted to ride some roads around the Copco reservoirs. This place is being remodeled and we got a room on the 3rd floor, opposite the freeway. The hotel is very clean, our room had been updated - new paint, new beds, very nice shower (great pressure!) with new tiles, clean fluffy towels. I'm a light sleeper and was worried about traffic noise - not an issue! The front desk employee was helpful and suggested a Mexican restaurant in town, which was pleasant. The breakfast serving area is blocked off for self serve due to Covid restrictions, and there was a very nice attendant that will get you your requests very quickly. Breakfast is the usual hotel fare (oatmeal, yogurt, juices, coffee, waffles, eggs) and perfect for pre-ride. Felt very safe and clean. Note - due to remodeling there was some work going on outside, but this did not interfere with our stay.

The bed and sheets were very comfortable!! I was surprised that they were just as nice or even better than some very expensive hotels I’ve stayed at. Great blackout shade roller to keep out sunlight. Also, the bathroom was roomier than expected and had a small tub. Good location about halfway between SF and Portland. The room also looked modern, had a large built in luggage rack for at least two large pieces. Plenty of lamps/light in room but could use more in bathroom. Overall very good clean room. Also was happy I could briefly open the window in the room to allow fresh air inside. But it was hot so we had to keep it closed and run the air conditioner. Very comfortable.

I really liked this hotel and was overall pleasantly comfortable, beyond expectations. However there is some noise heard through window, but at least the window has a blackout shade and the window can even be opened for fresh air. Bathroom was good in several key ways however it was a bit dark above the mirror with no vanity light - there’s only one main light on the ceiling in the bathroom.

The gentleman that works the breakfast buffet is so friendly and goes out of his WAY to make sure everyone had fresh and hot food. Well done sir! Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice cozy environment. This is the second time we stayed here due to a snow storm. They've saved us twice now so I will forever be grateful.

I will say though, take down the "masks required" sign if your employees aren't going to wear them, it's just confusing.

All the above and the front desk staff, I’m sorry but I don’t remember his name but he deserves a raise or promotion. He was awesome. He helped me with where I could park my truck n trailer, changed my room to accommodate me so from my room I could see my truck. Helped me with locating something for dinner and made some great suggestions. Then when I returned from picking up my dinner I forgot utensils and he provided them for me. I felt like my great stay was because of his efforts. There were others also needing things and he did a great job and he had a great attitude. Thank you!!!

Bathroom light could be brighter.

it was close to things that we needed, the staff was very friendly and helpful and it looked clean and was inviting

I was disappointed with the tv channel selections and finding the channel I liked, but it could have been me since I’m not technically savvy

Staff was friendly and flexible. I was checking out earlier than the breakfast time and yet they allowed to take items whatever available while setting up. All facilities are new and comfortable. Highly recommended.
