Alpine Trail Ridge Inn

It is exactly as advertised. The balcony was a nice place to have breakfast. It is super close to the Beavers Meadow entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The room was large, comfortable, clean & quiet. Lots of parking. Room included king bed, side chair, closet, table & chairs, microwave, small refrigerator, heat & A/C, dark curtains, small bathroom, & sliding door to private balcony with 2 cool chairs. Nice view. What more do you need.

We did not receive directions to find our room since the office was closed because of our very very late checkin and the room was a little hard to find. Bathroom small but ok.

Our stay was amazing! The owners went over and above to accommodate us. We had flight issues the night before, and our hotel the night before gave our room away in Denver. We got our car early and drove to Estes Park. We messaged Alpine Trail Ridge asking for a supper early check in, waited for a breakfast place to open, and the owner called us and got us in for 8 AM! The room was comfortable, ac and black out curtains let us sleep as if it was night, instead of day. The pool was great, the fire pit great, and super close to a RMNP entrance. If we could give them 20 stars, we would!

Estes Park is a beautiful, if touristy town with around 100 motels from which to choose. Most of them are quite similar: mountain decor, drive up to your door, and are very popular with tourists and families heading to spend a day in the Park hiking and sightseeing. The Alpine Trail Ridge Inn is well-situated, at the entrance to the Park and across the street from a small shopping center and grocery store. Several restaurants are within walking distance. We stayed in the Western Family suite the first three nights of our stay, which is an excellent value, with two bedrooms, three queen beds, a living room, dining area and full kitchen. We cooked one night, and found all the pots, pans and dishes we needed, and ate outside at a table by the pool. There is a firepit where you can sit and enjoy the cool evenings. The room came with a coffee maker, filters, coffee, a full fridge, toiletries and makeup wipes. The cleaning staff arrived as soon as we left each day, and did a wonderful job, hand-washing our dishes and coffee pot, and cleaning up brilliantly. The suite wasn't available on the fourth night of our stay, so we moved to the Standard Double Queen balcony room, which had been updated and was still quite large for a standard hotel room. The office staff was there for advice, fixed the DVD player in the room for us, and couldn't have been more helpful. I've stayed at many places in town when I come to see family, and for the location and value, this is my top choice.

Our newly renovated room was very comfortable and quiet and having access to a heated outdoor pool was a real bonus. There are some great restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance and a supermarket and petrol station just across the street. One of the main entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park is less than a 5min drive away too. The motel is flagged as a 2* property but it's much better than that!

If you're planning to spend a lot of time in Downtown Estes Park, you'll need to drive - it's too far to walk and there are no real taxi companies in town. Uber and Lyft do not operate here either! There is a free shuttle bus that picks up outside the hotel but it's very much seasonal (it finishes early September) and the latest service is at 9pm. It's not a massive problem but I wish we had known that before we stayed!

Spotlessly clean, room was well equipped and of a good size. It included fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, TV and hairdryer. Beds were very comfortable and had both a lamp and a reading light by both beds. Lovely location with good views and only a short drive down into the town. Staff were well organised and polite.

Swimming pool wasn't operational when we visited and we were looking forward to using it as we were at the end of a long road trip to relax ahead of our trip home.

We checked in after 6 pm and they left the keys for us to pick up as planned. Easy to get in the room. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. There was a mini frig, microwave, coffee pot, ironing board, luggage holder, toiletries, everything! There is also a pool on site. It is super close to Rocky Mountain National Park. Several very good restaurants nearby as well. Other guests were quiet and friendly.

The TV turned itself on in the middle of the night, and I had to get up and turn it on. I am not sure how or why this happened. Very strange. Other than that, everything was great.

Location was incredible, within minutes if entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and on the outskirts if Estes Park. Perfect for us. Pool was nice. Outside lighting at the complex was minimal, making it difficult to walk back to our room after swimming in the pool at night. Staff was very helpful. Loved the open feeling in the room (queen 2-bed with balcony) that the vaulted ceiling provided.

The location was beautiful, room was very cute. And the couple who owns the place was very accommodating. Came immediately to fix our tv when we were having issues, then heard a creaking from the AC that wasn't even bugging us and fixed it on the spot. They even brought us silverware when we realized we had gotten food to go and forgot silverware. Would definitely recommend!

Loved our recent stay. Close to RMNP, so convenient as we went there 4 days. We will definitely stay again, it's a good location and price point for what we needed. Staff was very helpful and kind. Had a nice conversation with both managers

Water pressure in shower, but that wouldn't prevent me from staying there again

Location, Location Location! The motel was only about 1 mile from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The staff was very helpful, and there were good restaurants nearby. The view from the hotel was amazing!

The bathroom was very small and the sink was outside of the bathroom. We had to park in a spot that was not adjacent to the room itself. All very minor issues.
