Tru By Hilton Grand Junction Downtown

Such a great place to stay! Leta at the front desk was incredible and extremely warm and bubbly! She made me feel right at home as she even helped me pick out which snacks to eat at night as I'm too indecisive. lol The room was really clean and the breakfast was really good as well. Location was great as it right downtown, so very close to good bars and restaurants. We'll definitely be staying here if we ever pass through Grand Junction again.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and laid back. There was some personalization to the experience, like when I walked in the room after checking in, the TV had a little personalized welcome message on it. The free breakfast is actually pretty good, there was a hands free automatic pancake maker that made decent pancakes and was fun to use. Ice and water bottle filler on the ground floor, which was handy for filling up water bottles on the way out the door. Great location, much prefer this area vs staying in a hotel on Horizon.

Being charged for parking. Breakfast closes at 9, I wish it went just an hour later. The room was cramped, there was hardly room to walk around the king-size bed, the desk and a/c unit took up a lot of valuable space and we bumped into things a lot. The location is great but the problem with it is the proximity to the train station, where passing trains are constantly honking.

On my recent trip to the US I stayed in 7 hotels. This was easily the best. Primarily this was down to the staff at reception. They were friendly, efficient and willing to help. Although some hotels are more flashy, as a solo traveller I liked that there was a big reception area, with drinks available, comfortable seating and space to work, chat or read. I arrived on Amtrak and this hotel was very handy.

Finding out at time of stay that parking was a separate fee! I was staying one night, I can’t imagine staying 7 nights and finding out you owe another $80 ish dollars!! Worth it, I guess, to feel your car was safe, but in the morning I heard the gate was broken, so it may not have been as safe as I’d expected.

Location was awesome. Close to Main Street. We were there for the 4th and decided not to fight crowds at the show. We could see the fireworks from our room and that made it extra special. Staff was very outgoing and they have everything you need (Haagen-Dazs!) in the lobby.

The comforter was one of those kinds that slides off during the night and the TV glitched constantly while streaming Netflix. That's pretty much it!

We had to make a last minute stop during our roadtrip during a bad snow storm, so we wanted to get somewhere safe and comfortable for New Year's Eve and we made the best choice! I'd say this is a 4 star hotel! Beds and pillows were super comfortable, bathroom is large and super clean. The hotel had a modern feeling to it and it offers a great breakfast and lobby area. They are taking good precautions against COVID and the staff was incredible.

Wish they had room service and larger luggage carts.

Close to Amtrak station, 2 min. to the free bus no. 1 to the airport, 10 min. walk to Enterprise car rental. And finally 20 min. by car to the beautiful canyon "Colorado National Monument". If you want to stay 5h after your check-out in the lobby - no problem for the staff!

Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was amazing. They gladly provided us a toothbrush and toothpaste kit, a pair if scissors, and extra shampoo and conditioner (even though there were dispensers in the shower that were plenty full... I didn't notice until later 😉) There were no problems with the pets that were there, including our dog. We will go there again.

It would have been nice to have coffee in the room. The coffee bar was great, though.

The location was central to pretty much everything downtown. It was far enough off of the highway to avoid the noise of cars. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Some construction was still being done on the hotel and they started promptly at 9am. The pool wasn't available yet as it was also still under construction. Overall, I think this place would be perfect, once construction is complete.

Location was 2 short blocks from many restaurants, so very convenient to walk. Room was comfortable and well furnished, with clothing hooks as well as hangers. No extraneous stuff. Breakfast had a good selection of foods and wasn't too crowded. Plenty of places to sit and see the weather outside.

The wall heating/cooling unit had a loud fan - as built, not malfunctioning. I'd prefer not to have to put up with that.
