Ethan Allen Hotel

Everything was exceptional and the staff is more than accommodating.

There's a specific front desk operator named Joshua who is MORE than rude and obnoxious. He's argued with me and tried to belittle me and said I have to take my business elsewhere because I was trying to do math on my head which is difficult for me and I asked for his patience even he said to take it elsewhere. There was no one waiting to be serviced so he should have explained everything and helped with my issue. He should NOT be in customer service, let alone Hotel hospitality!

High quality facility all-around. A small but not insignificant feature was the mirror set-up in the bathroom. There was space to get right up to the mirror, and with the bright mirror lights it gave an exceptional ability to see all the details needed for grooming.

The hotel was a little pricey, but I don't regret staying there. If it was summer and I could have used the pool, I probably would have felt better about the cost.

the room was not at all what I thought I was getting. My room was comparable to any other cheap hotel room. My room was clean but tub had rust stains and staff told me my section was from 1972 and not updated like the back part. when I booked it I though it was what I was seeing online I was disappointed considering it’s an Ethan Allen

I liked that it was close to the highway and to a great diner. The shower was good with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The bed was quite comfortable. Knowing Ethan Allen furnishings, and I own plenty, I knew the bed would be very good. The grounds were lovely and I could see people wanting to have a function there.

The place was “ tired”. I feel I can’t be too harsh since places like this are just coming alive after a pandemic. The furniture really did not reflect the true quality of the Ethan Allen brand. If furniture gets worn looking it should be replaced. The electrical outlets were of a concern, holes by an outlet. No USB ports, the TV was dated and had poor screen quality as well as no Guide to see what was on. The remote control had to be pushed several times to get to “ surf” the channels. No pen or paper available.

Room was small but clean.

The room was tight, we had to move the tables. Toilets were the right height for a 3 year old but not an adult. No hand soap in bathroom and the tub was very narrow and had a weird curve in the bottom of it so you couldn't really stand flat in the tub. Furniture was also pretty low to the ground.

Great location and lobby area nicely updated. Rooms were clean and accommodating size. Staff was friendly. booked at a good rate in advance.

Had to carry luggage to second floor or use elevator opposite end of building. hallway carpets need to be replaced. housekeeping knocked early and after we put a DND sign the next day they were still noisy in the halls at surrounding doors.

Comfy bed, excellent shower, full size fridge is brilliant

Restricted food options on some days in the hotel, but hotel was easy to find for Uber eats

The hotel is large and decorated beautifully. The staff were friendly. We had breakfast 2 mornings and it was value for money.

Danbury can be a quiet area and the bar area was not so good in the hotel.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable - beds were fine. The property is a conference/wedding facility - lots of spaces and possibilities, but not during these times alas. It was very quiet and perfect for our short stayover.

Rooms probably need updating relatively soon with the standard amenities (chargers, modern TV, etc.). But it is in fantastic condition.

Informative and fast check-in. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Liked having the sitting area in the room.

No coffee maker in room and no morning coffee in lobby. Even with corona virus, a coffee-maker doesn't seem to be a contaminant worse than a refrigerator (do not remove refrigerators). When standing in the bathroom, I could hear every word through the ventilation duct from the room next door. Shutting the bathroom door prevented the sound entering the room. I saw a man walk from the bar to his room without a face covering. Bartender should've stopped him.
