Baymont by Wyndham Groton/Mystic

The property was fine. It was clean and I felt safe. The room was very clean. I had all the amenities that we needed. Staff were friendly and got us anything that we needed. 

The only thing that I could say that is bad the hot tub wasn’t working, which was fine. The snack machine wasn’t working which is fine because there’s a Dunkin’ Donuts right on the property and many other places to find food and there was a leak upstairs in the ice machine other than that the place was clean and people were very friendly. Very happy with our room. It was quiet and clean. We just needed a place to sleep while we ventured into a Mystic

It was close to the Base. Free drinks in the lobby. The waiter in Flanagan's was PHENOMENAL! He remembered everybody's order right down to the condiments. Then he still remembered what we ordered the next morning. He had a joke for each plate he delivered he was just a super nice guy. It certainly made our stay enjoyable. If you go to this hotel don't underestimate the restaurant the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

I didn't like the young woman at the desk. I don't think she saw me sitting in the lobby but was making snarky comments to the customers on the phone. Something about someone needing to cancel their reservations but still needing to charge them for a one night stay bcs they we're canceling too late. She put them on hold and said she need to go talk to her manager but literally just sat there at the chair waited a few minutes then got back on and reiterated the same thing she had just said. Young girl brown hair. That was kind of a turn-off but the rest of this day was wonderful.

We went to a concert at Mohegan Sun and are glad we booked our room here to stay after the show. It is a very clean hotel and an excellent value for a place to rest your head. Not the fanciest place but who needs it when you’re there to rest up for a long drive in the morning. Room was just as described and pictured online. Check-in was easy and pleasant. Plus we had free hot buffet breakfast at the adjoining restaurant which just restarted - we lucked out. Very friendly staff and service. Good coffee, hot eggs, bacon, toast, etc. just enough to hit the spot. We will be back for future stays.

The bathroom door was a bit difficult to close completely but it was manageable.

the Service!!!! checked in with ‘Sia at the front desk…this young man was exceptional!! He went above and beyond not only for us but we were in the lobby and watched how diligent he was, so patient and professional! In the AM we had breakfast in Flanaghans and again exceptional seti eve Greg our waiter he was there promptly answering every question and meeting every request in a prompt manner.

Decor is outdated but def priced accordingly

Breakfast was a to go box with granolas, juices, water and can fruit. No hot item. Everyday house keeping is a plus. We like that normalcy.

Bathroom heat light timer is to stiff to turn past 1 minute.

The girl at the front desk is really nice and super cute to boot.

I went down the hall to get some ice and grab a soda from the vending machine like I have done every time in the past, but it was empty. I always get a diet soda but it was empty and that was fine so i was going to get something but every option was sold out. I would totally understand if the diet was empty they ran out ok fine but every option was empty, WHY ? That to me is having a lazy manager who does not care about the hotel where he/ or she could not fill up the soda machine? There is a Stop and Shop right down the street and a Walmart so that to me is no excuse

Some of the staff was really nice and approachable. My room was nice but maybe consider keeping an extra blanket in the closet just in case. It was all nice and clean which I appreciated. I think the price matched what you got and if anyone has an issue with the breakfast situation, there is a Dunkin right next door. If I go up to visit friends again, I will most likely stay here because it was a good location and decent price. I just was a little nit picky about a few things. There was a gentleman who's name I didn't catch but he works the over nights and I think has dreads, he was very kind and approachable. Seemed happy to be at work.

You could hear hallway noise to a degree which kinda freaked me out at times because I was paranoid someone was trying to break in. The breakfast was somewhat what I expected, I just wish there was a bit more variety. It not easy especially during Covid, but it would have been nice.

Very clean. They changed the towels every day even though some places make you hang and reuse them. Room was always clean and polished. Staff was VERY friendly and accommodating when asking questions. Really made you feel like family.

Ice machine on second floor and we were on first. No signs to direct you when you got off elevator. Ice machine as far from elevator as you could get!

the owner was very accommodating and extremely nice!! Easy processes and the breakfast was even tasty !!! I was very happy with our spa suite as well very clean and quiet. We will absolutely be returning to Baymont !!

More coffee creamers and sugars in the room. Also the ice and vending machines were difficult. But that was far from a deal breaker!! Just bring your own snacks.

I had the hot breakfast that I had to pay for twice. The food and service were both excellent. I especially liked the server, Miko, the oriental girl..... she was exceedingly pleasant and efficient. I was somewhat disappointed with the cold to go breakfast. It would have been nice if it include a yogurt. Due to the pandemic, I presume you discontinued the HOT breakfast ..... which should have been included in the price for the room.

The hot water could have been much better..... I do not like to see the men at the reception area wearing baseball caps....
