Holiday Inn Express Mystic, an IHG Hotel

The location was perfect! I was literally overlooking a Christmas village! Also, I had never been to Mystic and loved it! The area the hotel was in-though many other hotels were around it- still felt like a quaint small town. It was a slightly long walk into the main town but, walk-able. My room was super clean, quiet, and beautiful and new. My bed was so comfy that I extended my stay :) Oh, and there was a sweet little grocery store right within walking distance! A little path through the woods got me there. It ‘‘twas magical! A big “ thank you” to all the hosts/staff who made me feel welcome (and especially Jake) for taking such good care of us! And for making travel with my service dog feel so easy and casual.

Staff was awesome. Personable , genuine and helpful. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was immaculately clean. I do not usually use hot tubs outside my home. however, this one was so clean I did.

we were in room 212 and it sounded like we had someone bowling and dropping the ball on floor in the room above us. Sounded like an elephant. thankfully I wear ear plugs. but my husband doesn’t.

On the the night of the 17th someone sneaked a dog into the hotel and went out the dog barked continuously for about 4 hours . THe front desk tried to reach the owner of the dog but the person would not answer the phone. Needless to say this was extremely annoying and disrupted our sleep. The front desk was very apologetic but that really didn't help. We were not offered minimal compensation for the disruption. I am sure that should come from cooperate not from the manager at the Mystic holiday Inn. Otherwise I have no other complaints.

The room was nice, beds comfy, room clean. Staff helpful. Was close to attractions. Free breakfast, indoor pool.the kids enjoyed pool. They actually want to come back.

The pool and hot tub were tiny. The hot tub wasnt even hot, I thought the pool was heated but it was luke warm. The remote to our tv was hard to use. The eggs and sausage were cold at breakfast.

The breakfast was poor. But we found the employees very friendly and helpful.

we were very disappointed with breakfast. on line you show a very nice buffet of breakfast foods, and we get there and all u have is a bag with a few items in it, we will call next time and not stay there if our breakfast buffet. All of the ports for our cell phones were either loose or broken. why is the Ice machine up on the 3 rd floor ? We were on the first floor, it was a long way to go for some ice!

Close to restaurants and highway. Bed was very comfortable. Liked having a hot tub, and pancake maker and breakfast included with reservation. Staff at checkin was very friendly and helpful.

Pool was too small. Children were allowed to use the hot tub. Some children were jumping into the pool. No towels in the pool area.

The staff was very welcoming at 12:30am when we checked in. This hotel is very clean and you can tell it is well maintained. The room was so spacious. When we come back to Mystic the Mystic Holiday Inn Express will be our first Choice!

Out Stay was wonderful. Thier was nothing that we did not like.

My son and I had a king size bed on the first floor and the room was super spacious. I really enjoyed the location, cleanliness and overall atmosphere of the place.

Just that the ice machines were broken. Wish they offered Gatorade at concessions because my son needed some extra hydration.

Jake at Front Desk was very nice and thorough as he called us before our stay to let us know elevator was not working and how they could accommodate our visit easier. Everything was clean and our stay was fine. Our room was very comfortable.

We would have liked fresh towels and a refresh of the room’s supplies (soap, toilet paper, cups) and a trash pick-up. We believe this was not done because of Covid health restrictions and maybe staffing issues.

Great location overlooking the Mystic Village and near downtown Mystic and highway access. Reasonably priced for the area. Spacious and comfortable room. Decent breakfast. All day coffee. Pool, hot tub and fitness center were good. Staff was nice.

Pool closed at 8pm.
