Comfort Inn and Suites Newark

When we arrived the lady at the front desk was very friendly and made checking in flow quick and smoothly! Our room was very clean and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. Each day the cleaning staff did an amazing job tidying up our room. The breakfast we great. The breakfast staff was AWESOME Calvin and Dolche keep everything clean, neat and nothing ever had a chance to run out. And with several people all trying to eat and start their day everything ran perfectly. You could see the pride Calvin took in his work and his friendly and up beat nature made the breakfast experience enjoyable. My grand children swam in the pool and had a blast. It is a great place to stay and I would defiantly stay there again the next time I come to Delaware!!

If I had to say there was something I didn't like the only thing would be the tiny coffee cups!! You had to drink 3 to get a decent amount. While I know that is not the locations faults those decisions come from above. That would have been my only compliant and really it was not that bad at all! I was very thankful that coffee was provided!

The beds were extremely comfortable. The price was spot on. Breakfast was decent and the front desk was very nice and helpful.

The shear curtains in our room were shredded. The toilet paper holder was too wide to hold a roll. I hate the tiny coffee makers but that's pretty much standard in most hotels. Oh!!! We stayed for 3 nights and were told there would be no maid service during our stay. We had to empty our own trash and go down to the front desk for fresh towels and trash bags. That was a huge inconvenience. That's one of the reasons we stay in hotels; for service.

We stayed overnight to break up a long drive, and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well-appointed - an excellent value. Hot breakfast was included and filled our bellies before resuming our drive. we would definitely stay here again.

Our concern for plastic pollution is truly our only negative comment about this hotel - it was highly noticeable at breakfast: single use plastic utensils, individual plastic cups for coffee creamers, butter, syrup, etc. leading to excessive amounts of trash. This could easily be remedied by using carafes of milk and creamer for coffee, metal utensils, paper-wrapped pats of butter, and syrup in refillable containers. A small change that would drastically reduce the amount of plastics produced and thrown away.

The beds were super comfortable! Wife & I slept very well, for the most part.... staff was friendly and paid attention to my request for extra towels. Check-in and smooth and painless.

The hvac unit in room was very loud when compressor kicked in...woke me up a couple times first night there. I understand that they were doing best to be safe for breakfast, but not everyone can eat sausage. Also maybe to-go boxes or trays to take food back to your room would make it easier on guests. The sidewalk by rear entrance door needs to be replaced/fixed before someone gets hurt on the broken concrete and holes

The breakfast room had a nice variety of food. It was clean and enough space to seat everyone. The food that was cooked was very good!! The rooms were clean, they had everything we needed, the bed was so comfortable, the staff did a good job of meeting any of our needs, everyone was friendly and welcoming!! I can honestly say this is one of the best stays we have ever had at a hotel!! It was relaxing and welcoming and we will be back again for another stay!!! Loved it!!!!!

There was one thing in our room. The toilet paper roll was behind us and it was kind of hard for us to reach back to get it. In my sisters room, they said it was hard to adjust the water temperature in the tub. But they said they got the hang of it. Not a big deal!!! Other than that everything else was amazing!!

Location is great, easy highway access. Breakfast was limited due to covid, but was ok.

Nothing I didn't like. There was a little problem getting rooms together, but not a big problem, all worked out. I know now for next time to specify 1st floor.

The room was very modern and clean. We thought it was a great value, especially with the free breakfast and other available facilities. Every staff member we met was also friendly and helpful.

We wish the pool had been open, given the heat in our area in late June. Otherwise, everything was nice.

The rooms were super clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was clean inside and out. Breakfast wasn't just muffins, etc, in addition, there was eggs, kielbasa, sausage, and U could make your own waffles

The days were hot, so the ac in the common area was too cold

In comparison to another hotel in this chain I stayed at in North Carolina, this location and property was outstanding! It was clean, the rooms were up-to-date, the bathrooms and bedding were excellent, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast area and food options were great, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Unfortunately, I was staying in the area to visit with a relative in nearby hospice, but the location was perfect and, despite the circumstances, my stay very comfortable and I was well rested.

Arrival went smoothly, staff was courteous, light breakfast onsite was a plus, and Covid precautions seemed to be observed. I was pleased to see that the bathroom was very clean and appeared to have been remodeled fairly recently. Good mattress, furnishings up to date, and towels and linens were very well laundered. Large "smart" TV.

There was a musty smell in the room that was evident when entering, which I attributed to the wall-to-wall carpeting. Now that I think about it, I should have asked to see/be moved to another room, but at the time it didn't occur to me. It would have been nice to have windows that open, but all U.S. hotels nowadays seem to be like this.
