Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Wilmington South Area

the staff was awesome and every day they had a smile on their face and always spoke to us. The Mgr. even baked us homemade chocolate chip cookies for anyone who wanted them at the front desk.

The sheets did not fit the beds and every nite some times during the night the fitted sheet would come off. That was very aggravating. The only time out of our 5 night stay we asked ti have our sheets change and room cleaned they didn’t do it. I stopped at the front desk and gave them my room number and he wrote it down but they never showed.

Room was large. Free breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great, as we were visiting UD. Restaurants close by and adequate parking.

The hotel needs an upgrade. It is old and out dated. The elevator was an issue. It was extremely slow and loud. Clanking noises all day and night from I'm guessing old pipes.

The room was large with king size bed, couch, chair, coffee table. It had a kitchen with a large refrigerator, a microwave oven, a two burner stove. Allot of value for under $100. We will definitely stay there again but will opt out of the box breakfast and go to a restaurant instead.

Because of the pandemic there is no more hot breakfast. However they offer a boxed breakfast. It was terrible. I looked in the box and just threw it in the trash. You can do better than yogurt and a wheat bagel. How about a muffin, a microwaveable breakfast sandwich. Several choices.

It was a nice space for the two of us I liked that it had a kitchen and a nice bathroom/shower. It was close to alot of activities, shopping spots and nice food, we aren't foreign to the area so we knew our way around.

The walls seemed a bit thin, the trash cans were tiny, the room was a bit outdated. It wasn't very well lit like I thought due to the online picture it also wasn't as big as I thought given the online pictures. The heating was also a little hard to figure out thank goodness for the fan.

Breanna. She is an amazing front desk worker who was always helpful and friendly. Whenever we needed something she was great at helping us.

They painted the pool during our stay and we were in the first room after the pool, so the smell was extremely strong.

Overall I always enjoy myself when I come I hate to leave when it's time but I'm going to try and make my stay longer next time

I've never had a problem with this Hotel but this time was not a good one The dishwasher was running when I got in the room and it scared me because I didn't know what it was at first I thought the sink was about to overflow

The front desk clerk changed my room with no hesitation when I explained it had an odor. She was very accommodating.

It was cold as hell and the my stay was not longer.

Great location

Electric vehicle charger was not working. The main reason I picked this property was that I have an electric vehicle and was hoping to charge it overnight.

Good parking, easy check in, helpful and friendly staff, large room, comfortable, bed, large kitchen
