Hampton Inn Daytona Shores-Oceanfront

I feel it’s time and other hotels are serving breakfast. We walk up and order hot food. I was not happy that your not honest on how your handling breakfast other than your doing something because of COVID. Booking.com needs to have a specific serving statement from all hotels. Service hot or service cold breakfast.

I like the new remodel. Bed was comfortable. I liked the loveseat and little tables. I like the Bigger Tv would’ve like to be able to switch inputs so we could use our devices on the tv. The area is great and nice quiet beach locale.

Breakfast was kinda gross. Didnt have the coffee 24/7 like before. Refrigerator was too small for leftovers and drinks.

Parking inadequate for hotel capacity even with strictly enforced, one vehicle per room policy. Across the street auxiliary lot poorly lighted with no crosswalk within 300 yards to traverse to the hotel with 4 lanes and one suicide lane of traffic.

The parking was tight but they had a person who worked there who helped you with getting a parking spot

Parking can be a bit tight to find a spot in the evening.

It’s a beach hotel in a beach town and it feels like it- but in a good way. Balconies are a nice touch. no complaints about the room- but nothing stellar or worthy of note. location is nice- right on the beach. Nice staff.

The parking situation isn’t stellar- seems like they have just enough spots to rooms- or maybe one or two short. Not much to do nearby- but that’s a Daytona problem- not a hotel problem.

I don't like masks wearing was not enforced, although they say they enforce it.

The ocean front king room was amazing. Loved leaving the balcony door open and listening to the waves.

We loved the access to the beach and how close it is to everything. The staff were pleasant and always greeted us as we walked by the front desk or in the hallways. It said they weren’t cleaning rooms due to covid unless by request, but someone did come by and change out our towels everyday and took garbage. This was also the first hotel I’ve been at since the beginning of covid to serve ACTUAL breakfast, we were so happy about that! Also cannot complain about having our own balcony with beach views 🙂

The parking situation kinda sucks, we came on a Saturday and the hotel must of been more full because it was hard to find a parking spot and on the right side of the building the parking spots are great for pulling into, but trying to get back out was terrible (slanted for coming in, not out). We did have better luck finding a parking spot Sunday and Monday night. The elevators also sucked, only two for 8 floors.. They were slow and almost always full.

We have a very spacious room on the fifth floor overlooking the ocean. The pool was warm and clean and staff was very friendly. The room was very clean.

The door to the room did not close properly without pushing against it and even then you could see through to the outside and the wind was blowing in making a whistling sound all night. We had to keep the heat turned up at a higher temperature to keep the room warm.
