Tropical Winds Resort Hotel

I loved the location. The view was beautiful and beach access was a breeze. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. My room had a kitchenette and it was all in working order. The staff were very pleasant and professional.

I really don’t have any dislikes.

The staff was wonderful. The location was great. The cafe food was good and the value better. The room was comfortable. It was nice having kitchen.

It would have been nice to have dinner or late-night snack available on premises. The microwave did not work on our last night and our first day the TV did not work. Though they responded quickly and sent someone I resolved the TV issue and replacement microwave was unavailable until after we left.

Easy beach access, clean and comfortable rooms and Bed. Great ocean view. This was our 6th year staying at Tropical winds. And we will be back again . Staff and Guests are very nice and friendly.

No smoking allowed on the outside balconies of your rooms. You are OUTSIDE. The cafe hours could be longer instead of closing at 12 or 2 p.m. depending on the day. Only had 1 working elevator put the other one needed a back ordered part.

Great place for a trip to Daytona beach. It was right on the beach with a great view. I've been to this location several times, and it's always clean and good area to stay. It's still needing a bit of repairs in places after the hurricane damage, but it's a great place and great front desk staff!

The room was okay for what I paid. I expected something more than what I got last time since I paid more. The only difference was that this room was on the top floor and last time it had a kitchen this one didn't. The AC barely cooled the room. Even at 68, I was hot in the bed. The only other issue I had was other guests drinking alcohol on the pool deck and smoking Marijuana and cigarettes. I'm not judging for using what you want, but the smell was awful, and I couldn't go on my balcony frequently because of this.

We stay here usually 2 x a year, in Aug or Sept for my sister b day, Aug 11th and the end of Dec for my b day Dec 24th, we, love the location and especially the staff. Miss Gwen is our favorite, we met her on our first visit. She is so sweet and helpful. Also we had a couple issues but the manager Teyonna Olds was so sweet about taking care of everything, and made our stay even better. We plan on being back in Dec for my birthday.

Our AC wasn't cooling in our room on the 8th floor, but the manager took care of us and gave us a room on 7th floor, few other issues but all was resolved and we were very happy. Sissy said this has been her best birthday ever.

The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The view from the room was beautiful! We will definitely plan another trip here soon!

The only thing that I didn’t like was that there weren’t any brooms or forms of cleaning in the room. You bring in a lot of sand from the beach and I would have liked to sweep it up. They did come in and clean whenever we went to dinner which was nice. I just would have liked to sweep up a little more. Not a deal breaker at all, I’ll just buy a cheap one next time so I can clean up a little 🙂

Rooms were clean, beds were so comfortable, right on the beach with great views. There is a kitchen and large fridge to keep food and drinks. It's away from the busiest part of the boardwalk but not too far to still enjoy the shops, you will just have to drive there if you don't want to walk 2miles. The staff is friendly. There is a cute Cafe. I would stay again.

One of the elevators was not working so it sometimes took a bit to get an elevator. But other than that it was a really good stay.

Jody at the front desk was great, room wasn't ready at check in, she called when it was. Hotel was a bit dated, however was very comfortable and welcoming after a long day at the Daytona Speedway. Now that I have stayed here, I know what to expect. Our room was at the end of a hallway, Jody said it was a partial view, but the view of the ocean was still fantastic.

Would have been better if there was a breakfast offered by the hotel. There was a small area for coffee. TV was very questionable, alot of times it would just freeze up, almost like it was buffering. Rooms could use more electrical outlets

I had a lovely time! In a nice central location for getting to the beach and local restaurants/attractions, I never felt too far away from the activities we had planned. The staff was really nice and attentive, and the breakfast from the cafe was shockingly good diner fare. The price was right, especially for an ocean view balcony king bedroom. Accommodating to visitors I had, too! I'll definitely be back!

I really liked the pool the first time we went in (6+ feet deep in a swimming pool is awesome! I hate a shallow pool), but it was kind of grungy the next day, which turned out to not be too bad since it was gloomy that day anyway but the option to get into a clean pool would have been nice. Also a much smaller gripe is the ice cream vending machine only took cash, which I don't carry, so I wasn't able to get any. I also thought the bed was kind of firm for my liking but my friends liked theirs so I guess it might just be me.

Family friendly. Excellent beach location. There was a young man at front desk who went above and beyond with our large family check in and all during our stay. I booked 6 rooms for our family vacation (sight unseen) and could not have been more pleased with the hotel.

1 elevator broken. Had just occurred and couldn't get repairs due to July 4th week
