Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Daytona Beach On The Ocean, an IHG Hotel

I love the hotel, I really love that it is right on the beach as is the lovely outdoor area and pool. I love that you are able to have meals outside overlooking the ocean. Staff was great.

The parking is terrible. There is limited parking spots at the hotel and they are very small. You have to park across the street in the parking lot and then you have to fight traffic to cross the street which is really very dangerous, four lanes and a turning lane you have to run across dodging traffic. The hotel/city really needs to consider a pedestrian crossing here. Also, since when do you have to pay a parking fee to park at a hotel that you are already paying to stay at? Definitely not happy about that!

On Saturday morning we had a different cleaning crew, 4th floor. They did bare minimum. Did not make beds, did not clean floors, took out the trash, picked up dirty towels from the floor and left a few replacements on the sink counter (didn’t resupply 100% and had to go to front desk to get more towels and bath floor mat), did not resupply cups or tea or coffee or drink condiments. I had two rooms, the floor had sand on it which was not there when my family members left the room to enjoy the beautiful weather. I reported these concerns to the front desk

pretty view but the window was very foggy like and bird poop on window so all I can see is bird poop and fog on window.

well I didn’t like that I wasn’t able to change to a balcony when I called about changing no one could really help and the guy over the phone that answered the phone was very rude and did not help at all and it was a female that I spoke with as well I ask to speak with the manager and she never got anyone just put me on hold. all I wanted was an upgrade. booking or no one was able to help it was back and forth calling and didn’t get anywhere.

Everything was perfect - hotel is located right on the beach, restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and kids eat for free!!! there is a decent pool and activities like shopping, water park etc are 5 mins away.

Not sure if this is booking.com mistake or hotel BUT on my reservation I specifically chose that breakfast was included. IN REALITY, you get 10$ towards breakfast, max 20$ per room, the remaining balance if any you will have to pay out of pocket. Most breakfast positions are slightly above 10$, just FYI

Nothing. Everything was okay.

The bar and restaurant were excellent. Kathy, the bartender was outstanding. She took care of us and others there both with drinks and food at times working by herself. Drinks were great as well as the food. The downstairs bar, dining and reception area remodeling were outstanding as well.

The upstairs bedrooms and hallways could use an update as well to match the lobby. The couch in the bedroom was old and did not have a matching seat with the back and sides. There were a few items such as trim in corner by fifth floor elevator that could use attention to caulk and smooth over.

The room was clean and comfortable. The view of the beach from the balcony was amazing. The location is perfect.

I went to walk on the beach before checkout time and when I returned back to the room the housekeeper had stripped the room and threw away my extra room key. I initially told her I was coming back when I was heading to the beach. But she said she was in a hurry and was being rushed by the house supervisor. This was at 9:50am. I was supposed to check out at 11am. I wanted to enjoy the balcony a little longer but I went ahead and left.

Let me start off by saying that we had issues at another hotel in the area which forced us to find another hotel at the last minute after 11:00 p.m. at night. this hotel was awesome the staff was attendant to our needs and accommodated us at a last minute. What turned out to be a nightmare of a trip was salvage because of your staff in your facility and we thank you And we had one of the best trips we've ever had at Daytona Beach. This place was a great friendly staff awesome view, beautiful room great place willl stay here again in the near future.
