Holiday Inn Express Hotel Clearwater East - ICOT Center, an IHG Hotel

Was there for the hurricane. They were kind enough to let us bring our cat at no additional charge. When we went to check out I needed a luggage cart but they were not able to locate them as other hotel guest were storing them in their room and had not returned them. The front desk laddies offered to have one of the maintenance men come up to help bring our items down to our car. This was very helpful as we had an infant and a cat. This help allowed me to stay in the room with our daughter and pet as the maintenance man helped my boyfriend with our luggage and other items down to the car.

The breakfast was decent, I thought the pancake machine was cool, I had never seen one before. However I love me a hotel waffle and look forward to it, so I was a little disappointed to find out that they did not have a waffle maker.

STAFF…hurricane coming…skeleton crew on duty providing care, attention & actual physical assistance to this 80+ lady who never dreamed there would not even be a bellman. Throughout my stay, front desk gracefully answered my phone queries when she/he must have been very busy.

Probably my fault…not clear on lack of food and other “standard” services. Housekeeping never came on Wed. Afternoon calls to operator were never answered on Tues? and Wed.

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the pool looked really nice. The location was good, about a fifteen minute drive to some of the important spots. We went to downtown St Petersburg, Indian Rocks Beach and they were fairly close. A little far from St Pete beach but that was ok. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Honestly the price seemed a bit high for the location and the quality of the hotel. Most likely because it was spring break because everything in the area seemed high. But that would be my only complaint.

The breakfast was excellent and we were given several choices to choose from. The pool was warm and well kept. My room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant. They were very helpful. I have already booked my next stay.

I used the pool every day and it was wonderful. On my last day, there were a lot of people around the pool. When my granddaughter and I went to swim, there was water bottles, cigarette butts, and a condom package in the pool. I let the front desk know and they cleaned it immediately. I'm not disappointed at all with the motel, they are wonderful. I'm disappointed in the guests who leave towels and trash in and around the pool.

This was a great place to stay for us. We didn't plan on being at the hotel often and just needed something good to sleep at, and we were not disappointed. The staff were great and friendly. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. The beds were so incredibly comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

If I have to find something wrong the walls were very thin so we can easily hear people in their rooms talking and I am sure they could hear us too. Also the toilets flushed a little weird there were numbers of times we thought maybe they were clogged but it eventually went down.

The quin bed was very small for a couple. The lady in front desk at the evening was pleasent,but she has a hard time to explain me why they charge was much more that I booked. At the end ,everything was good, Because the charge that I saw was pending .

Location was ideal and so convenient. Rooms were large, nice and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly.

. Pool was nice but hard to find a towel, so we need to walk to the room wet. other than that, it was nice.

Nice and clean rooms, but I was most impressed by the included breakfast. We aren’t typically fans and end up getting something else, b it it worked for us today!

Everything was great!

I thought the breakfast was going to be honey buns and a drink but they had great options of hot food. I had a great egg white frittata, turkey sausage, and some fruit. They had plenty more delicious options as well and the staff was excellent and made everything convenient. Great experience overall.

First room smelled of cigarette smoke but the staff was very apologetic and had no problem changing my room immediately.

There is always a funny smell when walking through the hallways by the rooms.

Didn’t really care for the breakfast too much. I know it was included in the room but the juices were low quality and there was only one form of egg and it had stuff that my daughter was unable to eat inside of it. So I’m just not very many choices are not any neutral choices.
