Lantern Inn & Suites - Sarasota

Our customer service rep, Fabio, is an expectional asset to Lanterns Inn. Not only was he professional in this line of work, he was more than accommodating in an error made by another rep who mistakenly gave us a room with only 1 queen bed instead of 2 queen side beds which we had reserved for 3 nights. There should be more reps like Fabio in this line of business. Thank you again, Fabio, for the compassion you showed us.

A woman on staff at the office abruptly asked my son why he was getting coffee rather than politely asking him what room he was staying in. More compassion and less negativity is warranted here.

I booked this room because I was in town for a funeral so I was kind of numb and sad and just wanted a place to rest until the funeral even though the planes were flying over all in all I was satisfied with my stay here..they don't offer breakfast but it's a convenience store next door to the property....I would stay here again if I am ever in the area

The thing I didn't like is the way I had to get to my room with all of my bags was a struggle for me but that could be because I'm used to staying where there's bell boys to help and rooms are usually inside where you take an elevator to your room....so I guess that's just one of my pet peeves

Front desk clerk was super nice. He alerted us that our second nights rate was going up and that we should check a second party (booking.com) to see if we could find a lower price, which we did. The rooms are big, and very clean. The only downside is the noise from street and planes. The hotel is right next to the airport, you can see planes take off and land right over us, kinda cool.

Location and cleanliness

Not my first stay with these folks, both times due to family emergencies. On arrival, both times, staff was exceptional - friendly and welcoming. Rooms are either recently redone of fastidiously cleaned. Grounds are clean and I've never had a problem. Area is so-so, it's on a main road not far from the airport but with that in mind the rooms are still pretty quiet. I wound up here out of necessity my first time and was a little hesitant based on how the place looks online, this last trip they were easily my first choice.

Nothing, the hotel is perfect for what I needed.

Located a few minutes drive from all of the hot spots (or about an $8 Uber drive), this little inn is quite the treasure. The rooms were very modern, sleek, and impeccably clean. Even cleaner than some higher end $$$$ hotels I’ve been to. My feet didn’t even get dirty once walking on the hard floors in our room. The bed was comfy and sturdy and the sheets were bright white and smelled clean. The staff is super friendly, never passed someone without them smiling or hoping we had a good stay. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looks very clean. The tiki bar is a nice added touch with very affordable drinks! My only concern was that the elevator had a very foul odor that smelled like blue cheese so we opted to use the stairs. We will definitely be returning though. You can’t beat the price and quality!

I was in room 234. It was clean, i didn't hear any sounds of people in other rooms or from outside. everything worked except for one light bulb but that didn't make much difference. Nice purple accent lighting around the bathroom mirror.

I had to have the lady at the ckeck-in desk check out the door to my room because at first i couldn't get the door open. She reluctantly came to the door to make sure the key-card worked... the first time I went to the desk I walked past an outdoor bar where somebody was smoking.

Great location. Super nice and helpful staff. Very comfortable accomodations. Reasonable price.

The room/bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. The tv never worked. I didn't report it, I was too busy with errands, but did miss having the news on.

We had a great experience from the moment we found the Inn (which was very easily recognizable from US41), the young lady at the reception was super friendly and helpful, our room was very clean and tidy. The room was actually more spacious than your average, beds were ok, the bathroom seemed modern and again it was very clean.

Being so close to the airport and US41 definitely has it downside, nothing crazy but if you need something quiet and secluded this may not be the place for you. The flights were quite frequent during our 2 nights, nothing bothersome but its definitely worth mentioning.

Convenient to EVERYTHING ! Tiki Bar right next to the pool. Staff is wonderful. Very Clean. Don’t need to pay the big bucks of the major hotel brands , this facility is a gem in my book ! can’t wait to stay here again !

No breakfast served which was fine due to Covid. In process of renovating hotel. Room was renovated & everything was new. Cleanliness of our room was superb. It was only 12 miles to Siesta Key beach meeting family. Only took around 15 minutes. Pool was very nice. Room was cleaned every day with new towels, bed made. Very quiet. No outside noise at all. Our price was fantastic for the 5 days. Will definitely be staying here again,
