Tru By Hilton Tallahassee Central

If you like the style and the Tru brand from Hilton, then you'll find this location no different. Everything was clean, the staff friendly, and a nice atmosphere. There's a small 24 hour gym on the main floor. The location felt safe and has good conveniences nearby. There's a Thai restaurant open until 9 pm across the street that has really good lunch and dinner menu. There's a Target within a 15-minute walking distance (5 min car ride) in case you forget anything for your trip. In the same direction as Target, there's a relatively new Panera Bread location where you can grab something to eat and do some work on your laptop.

The most of the employees were so nice. Very clean facility. Even our rooms and bathroom was clean.

A few things that could have been better is labeling the food if there were pork. The omelette looked so good but unfortunately it had ham in it and I didn’t know and also the sausage was pork. Would have been nice to have some kosher meat. Second we didn’t have a closet in our room. It sure if all rooms are like that but ours was small and it was hard to maneuver around with a 1.5 year old especially with him getting into all of our stuff. Other than that everything was good. Location was perfect!!! Everything was around from restaurants to stores. It was amazing. The theme of hotel is very fun.

Loved the variety and the hot dishes were scrumptious! The pancake machine was a hit with my kids (and me!) so don’t ever get rid of that! Everything was clean, well-stocked, and staff were attentive and friendly. We stayed for Fri through Mon morning but didn’t realize the Monday morning breakfast ended sooner- a friendly reminder from the staff would be greatly appreciated next time bc we missed it by only 20 min and had to eat out somewhere. Otherwise no complaints!

I don't have pictures we were so tired we just cleaned up and went to sleep. Do know that it looks exactly like the website. The hallway smelled fresh, clean elevator. The room was immaculate! I'll be back because it close to everything, easy to find and reasonable free parking. Most importantly for Alphonso. We were exhausted. Two days of a sports tournament in the rain and cold and boom...Alphonso at the front desk. I was greeted when I came on even though he had a customer already. When it was my turn you would have thought this was the Ritz. I was given all my details, briefed on locations of things including breakfast times and amenities. He was the sunshine on this long day. Keep him around because you don't get that everywhere. I'm planning to find out about group rates so our team can stay here next time because of the rooms and his warm attitude.

***To the owners Not being able to get my Hilton points because I booked on an outside site is disappointing. It was cheaper there but I wanted to stay with my favorite brand.

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Appreciate that it had a mini-fridge as some high end hotels we stayed in the past 2 years did not. Breakfast was included.

Location was a little far from FSU campus where our son attends. Breakfast hours are a little short (ends at 9am) and eggs & sausage patties didn’t seem fresh.

Very comfy bed. Nice large tv. Great use of the small space as far as the wall to hang things and the bar across from it and under the bed storage. Bathroom was very nice. Wallpaper was cool, Nice size shower and loved the squeeze bottles for soap and lotion, etc.

No dislikes but would have loved one more item or maybe stool to sit on- although the large chair was super comfy.

Super professional and pleasant staff, good breakfast spread, well equipped gym for a small hotel, pleasant environment, very comfortable beds, very clean.

My room was not serviced one of the days. All towels were dirty, trash blah blah, thank goodness I am tidy. I told them at check out, and was told to have said something earlier. But I got to the hotel late, and did not feel like waiting outside to get into my room while they are cleaning. I wish they had more of an outdoor set up. Although there is a big sign that if they don't cover something it is on them, they charged me anyway...ok, so I didn't ask and didn't make a fuss. It all worked out.

Great breakfast selection. Beds comfy, rooms are small but very modern and have lots of tables/desks to utilize. Also good bathroom toiletries and nice shower.

Need different luggage carts - the ones they have are small, and have huge gaps/holes in them, so small things fall through - additionally they have alarms on them, which will make the loudest sound if you don't bring it back right away...it will scare the crap out of you (its as loud as a fire alarm), not cool. Seedy clientele also - hallways/elevators always smell like weed. Parking lot is dark and questionable characters roaming there in the evening.

I really liked the dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in the room. I also liked the water bottle refill station downstairs. I appreciate the effort to create less plastic waste. The whole property was super clean and the common areas downstairs would be nice if traveling with a group.

I wish there was milk at breakfast. They had milk for coffee, but not to drink as far as I could see. The rooms are narrow which could cause problems if multiple people are trying to get ready at once.

I can’t say enough about Alphonso. He was pleasant and helpful. Definitely a positive addition to your staff.

Price was up due to events. I paid a lot less just five days earlier. Do not offer senior discount😕 Breakfast would have been nice, but way too crowded. Not your fault…due to events. Also, my reviews always come up as Muhammad. I am not Muhammad!! My name is Linda!!
