Hampton Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale/West-Sawgrass/Tamarac, FL

I liked the size and amenities in the room. The room and bathroom were comfortable and spacious. I also liked the breakfast options, the friendliness of the staff, and how much the staff worked to resolve a booking issue I had with my room.

Due to booking my room through booking.com rather than Hampton directly, there was an issue getting the room I paid for. I was in Hampton's system, but the room was unavailable or perhaps the hotel was overbooked since many people, myself included, were traveling to that area for a concert. Getting that issue resolved was stressful, but thankfully the manager was able to eventually get me a room at that location instead of transferring me to a different Hampton location about 15-20 minutes away. The room I ended up staying in wasn't the same setup as the one I booked (I booked a room with two beds and the one I stayed in only had one) but that worked out fine and I didn't have to pay anything extra.

It's been over a decade since I last experienced such a satisfying stay with a hotel. On top of the extraordinary cleanness and refreshing odors everywhere I walked, the personnel was amazing! From the reception agents to the cooks to the room service staff! I appreciated every interaction with each one of them. Their sincere smiles and attention! Thank you for an amazing experience and I'm definitely coming back to your hotel. I'm done with searching and checking reviews!

Two issues with the equipment only: the magnetic card to the room's door is so hard to scan. It would take me 5-7 times to finally get to open the door. Secondly, the shower head was too high for me, I'm not a tall person and couldn't reach it to adjust the water flow. And , the shower towls where too thin and à bit worn out.

The staff were more than accommodating and very very professional! They treated us with a lot of respect and made sure we were well looked after. They even accommodated our early arrival. Sarah was super nice and knowledgeable.

The AC in the room was really bad. It didn't work for hours and then, just started working out of the blue. Also, there was some rust in the bathroom.

Great stay. Close to hwy. Very convenient location and not too far from the mall. Quiet area. We had a great stay and don't really have any complaints.

I had hoped there would have been some more restaurants closer to the hotel. We had to get back on the highway to get to all the eating places.

Breakfast, location and staff.

There were no cameras in the parking lot. The catalytic convertor in our rental car was stolen overnight. Cameras may have deterred the thief, and would provide better security overall to guests. This property is located right near the highway, giving the criminals an easy escape route, with minimal chance of detection.

The coffee and tea in the lobby was a nice touch. The spaciousness of the room provided to my family was nice. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was simple but good. The hotel has a good amount of parking and is located right next to the turnpike.

The coffee and tea in the lobby need cup sleeves as the cups get hot very quickly. The fridge switch in the room is understandable but guests need to be informed. Especially, older guests. The sign for the window shades was very small and my elderly grandma could not figure it out. Larger simplified sign would be appreciated.

front desk lady in the morning was very unfriendly. I hate it when they push you when you'll will check out before your time. I was in the bathroom and she continue to call me on and on. When I told her that, she was like a machine gun. I never check out late! I follow the rules and I paid for it. Breakfast only 1 hours. So, sorry, never again, I like friendly people

The location was quiet and away from the tourist area. We were able to find a good selection of restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, offered a variety, and was good quality. My room was cleaned well when requested. Staff was always polite.

I will Always stay at a Hampton inn. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, rooms are spotless and the breakfast is delicious.

I was Disappointed that Booking.com had offered us an $8 upgrade to a suite but when I checked in there wasn’t one available. I also Had to stay at a different Hampton Inn for our last night because Tamarac wanted $300 for one night. 😬 I cant Afford that!

Awesome customer service. We walked in around 11am after getting off our cruise and they checked us in right away. Also, they gave us a late check-out for 1pm and didn't charge us for it. The ladies at the front desk were so accommodating and very sweet. They gave us 2 bottles of water as well.

The location wasn't that great. Nothing around the area to walk to.
