La Quinta by Wyndham Plantation at SW 6th St

We stayed for 7 nights and totally enjoyed the property. We had a double room, which was a little tight for 5 people, but we were also able to relax in the lounge and the pool area. if we needed clean towels, or anything like kleenex or bathroom tissue, we just had to ask. The night we checked in, Sammie was at the desk alone (the 2nd staff that was supposed to be there did not show up}, and even though it was very busy Sammie was great. The breakfast was great every morning, and there was always coffee or hot water available. Use of the computer was very helpful. We totally enjoyed this property, and if we ever get back that way, we would gladly stay there! There was also laundry facilities available which was great!

The name says "suites" so we were expecting a larger room, but we were told we had the largest room available. My nephew slept on the floor, but he did not complain. We also thought we would have Queen size beds, not double, but we made it work.

It was a great place; close to shopping centers, activities, and very close to major cities Ft Lauderdale only took 25 mins and Miami was about 35- 1hr depending on traffic but great place and quiet

The only two things I didn’t like there was no electric chargers at this hotel so we had to go and charge close by which wasn’t an issue but would be really nice as other hotels I’ve recently stayed at have begun offering this amenity. The other issue is it could have been slightly cleaner not anything crazy or that bothered me, but there was a white powder when we walked into the bathroom counter top there was also things on the floor like if it hadn’t been vacuumed but no big deal really.

Generally, it was a pleasant stay with no issues.

The tap on the face basin to room 107 needs repair as it does not release water easily unless the lever in the basin itself is physically held up. I would recommend that your housekeeping staff be required to complete a report of what duties were performed in the room and whether repairs are needed to any of fixtures and whether the lighting is working. Also, everything placed in the refrigerator freezes. The carpet was not properly vacuumed to ensure all debris from previous guests were properly removed from the corners and sides of the room. A housekeeping supervisor should physically expect the rooms periodically to ensure staff are performing their respective duties to the Brand's standard.

The breakfast was great, the staff and front desk clerks were very helpful. The location was excellent and very confident. I hope to always visit this hotel whenever I travel to Fort Lauderdale. You guys got a lifetime customer in me.

Developing a loyalty customers reward plan, like after every 10 visit a free night or something just away, of giving back to keep your loyal customers coming back. 😀

The breakfast was very good. I liked that they had it open later on the weekend because my friend and I came in for a concert and appreciated not having to get up as early to enjoy that benefit of this hotel. The staff was incredibly kind despite the fact that things were super chaotic this weekend and they handled every curveball thrown at them with grace and professionalism. Room and bed were comfortable, and our stay was more than pleasant.

Honestly, for the value I have very few complaints. We had an issue with our toilet at check in, but the staff was incredibly quick to respond, and we did jot stay long enough for this to be an issue. There may be an issue either with third party booking or through this hotels application because the hotel was overbooked by at least one room when we arrived and key cards were not availble immediatley as the staff was not expecting the immense volume of guests. This is a computer error though, and not reflective of the people who work here. They did their best with impossible circumstances.

Free breakfast was nice. Location good for what we needed. Pet friendly so I will be remembering that in the future. Easy check in/check out process. Beds clean. Shower very bright. Overall nice little room.

The hot water was scalding hot within seconds. I have small kids and the turn of the wrong knob could easily have burned them. Our vanity had a lot of white overspray of something so it didn’t seem very clean though I did try to wipe it with a Lysol wipe and it didn’t budge. Could have been when something was repaired? The shower was also a little questionable. Clean enough but had a ring around the bottom of the tub.

Great location for me. Near a lot of shopping, which I didn’t do. Loads of restaurants not far. Staff were all very good, very professional. Everything was clean. Breakfast was a full one: eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, bagels and cream cheese, and - my favorite - waffles that you make for yourself. They have clearly just renovated. No weird smells, no smoke or pet odors. I had a very successful stay.

The pool is so small! (It was clean, though).

I love the location, free parking and Wi-Fi. That there was good breakfast and the price was reasonable.

The housekeeping staff could be a little better the couch had lots of long hairs on it from the back of the head of who ever sat there last. Vacuuming sofas etc. is something they should pay more attention to. However, I must say that I have been staying at this La Quinta for over 10 years and it is the first time I’ve noticed something like this.

Check in was quick and easy after a 20 hour exhausting trip from overseas. The staff was supper friendly and they even provided a little cup of laundry detergent as they were sold out of the packages. This was likely as a result of the overflow of guests from Ian's destruction. REALLY friendly staff at 10 pm, and also at 9 am.

There was nothing that was bad. Clean rooms, good laundry machines if you need them, and a nice breakfast. Nice lobby and again, the staff was just great!

The room was comfortable and the hotel is clean and well kept. Its proximity to Broward Mall is definitely a plus. The lobby area is cozy and invites to spend some time there.

Breakfast was a disappointment. Very few things and nothing salty like crackers, toast. Only cupcakes, yogurt and oranges. We understood the Covid situation as to not being able to clean our room or provide any other service, but we were not told about this during our check-in. I suggest you place a note on each room.
