Sea Turtle Inn

This is definitely old Florida. It is what we look for when we book a getaway. We do NOT like large high rises or perfectly sterile environments. Sea Turtle Inn was a small place and very relaxed. Interactions with people at the pool were always fun and everyone always spoke of the family environment. Our room would have benefitted from some updating, but it was comfortable. We had a couple of minor issues (one remote control and one bed lamp were not working), but the owners were extremely responsive and fixed everything immediately. The kitchen could have benefitted from being stocked better with kitchen implements. The king bed was SO comfortable. The inn was in the middle of the shopping/restaurant area of the island part of Vero Beach. Pool was small but nice. We did not have to use the car except to go to the market 1.5 miles away. I would not hesitate to stay at the Sea Turtle Inn again.

A/C worked well but was a little noisy. Kitchen needed a few more tools like a sharp knife. Dining chair was not completely assembled & could have collapsed if we had not noticed & fixed it.

We loved our location, and the one-bedroom apartment was perfect. It was extremely spacious with the addition of the screened porch. There were only a few steps to the pool! We could walk to the best shops in town, and the nearby park and beach were very nice.

The apartment was indeed well-equipped, but the kitchen equipment was a bit lacking. We wanted a full kitchen so we could cook in and invite friends over, but the lack of plates, cutlery and glassware was challenging.

Unique and charming inn in Vero Beach. If you’re wanting luxury and glitz, this might not be the place for you, but, having stayed in fancy hotels here before, we loved our comfortable 1BR apartment off the pool, with kitchenette, separate living space and Old Florida charm. Grounds are well kept with tropical plantings, and the pool area is a quiet oasis. Vera the owner is very responsive and lovely. And the location just can’t be beat - steps from Oceanside with its many restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here again!

Ronnie, the resort manager actually called me before I arrived and offered me a room upgrade! Amazing. Check-in was seamless, my room was super clean, and well furnished with decor from Home Goods! Loved it! Free, conveinent parking, walking distance to most destinations.

I was a single female traveler and my room was on the ground floor with six points of entry! Meaning, six outside doors. I questioned my safety on the first night, and the last night when I heard goings on outside my room. I adjusted, but it wouldn't have been my first choice of rooms. Although, it was a fabulous room! Very little privacy between rooms. You can hear everything!

This was a perfect hotel for us. We love the old Florida feel. It was clean and the staff was great. Bed was very comfortable. location was also fantastic. Off the beaten path but a block away and there were the shops and restaurants. Great seaside escape with out breaking the bank. You have great restaurants to choose from. Not a big nightlife place so don't expect to party till dawn! We loved it and will be back! If you want the old Florida feel this is the place. Its clean, large rooms and staff is great. Supporting small business!

Only issue we had was the water pressure wasn't the best. BUT this is expected in old Florida hotels. We stay in these places regularly and this seems to be common. This by far is NOT a deal breaker.

Excellent location within walking distance of shops, restaurants and beach. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which overlooked the pool. great for family with kids because we could make our own breakfast before heading out of the day. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Beach towels available plus toys and chairs which we appreciated.

Our room smelled a little of damp but not enough to be a problem, the mattress on the fold out sofa-bed was very thin and you could feel every spring, had to ask for more bedding for the sofa-bed (there should be more in the room in case of chilly nights).

The location was fantastic. You can walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. The room was extremely clean. Furnishings were older but all was very clean and neat. We liked that outside of our room there were two tables with chairs, so you could go out and relax there as well.

Perhaps a more updated decor and furnishings ... but, all was good. We had a wonderful stay.

location, outside areas, parking was close. very close to beach. easy access to restaurants and beach. pool level room had good sized kitchen area with full appliances. orchids on palm trees were beautiful. upper deck porch was amazing g for sunrise. we would come again.

missing a blanket for fold out bed and we did not notice until late at night. we resolved on our own, because we had two rooms and I got one from the other room.

Location was central to beach, restaurants, and shopping street. The bed was very comfortable. The "room" was actually an apartment with a small kitchen that was well equipped, a comfortable living room, and bedroom. Nice small pool with very nice vegetation and vibe. The owner and other staff were very helpful.

It is a little dated for some tastes. Fine for me. I like old time small hotels.

I was late for check-in on Sunday, and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful! He left an envelope of paperwork confirming my stay along with a map to where my room was. He also had my key in a safe box that was unlocked for me to pick up for my room which also included a key to the laundry mat. I've never stayed at the Sea Turtle Inn before, and it's so much bigger than it appears when driving by! There's a lot of different room options as well! I was thoroughly surprised and satisfied with my stay overall.

Unfortunately, my room's lights weren't all working! There was a lamp by the bed that wouldn't turn on, along with lights over a countertop, also near to the bed, that didn't seem to work as well. Luckily it was only for the evening into the morning that the room was needed so we weren't too concerned with minimal lighting. There were a few switches so maybe I flicked one off that controlled the other lights.
