Hyatt House Augusta Downtown

Entering our room, I was ecstatic to realize that we'd been upgraded to a king suite! I'd never been able to justify booking one before, but now I can't imagine going back. This room was wonderful for our brief trip. Everything was clean, and the room was incredibly spacious for two people. The bed (and couch) were both very comfortable. Although we only stayed two nights, the suite had all the amenities to accommodate a longer stay. We loved the large fridge and freezer. I was suprised to see a full arsenal of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, cups, and bowls all available in the kitchenette. While we didn't take the time to go through them thouroughly, they all seemed to be clean and in very good condition. I was impressed to find a stovetop and dishwasher as well. There was plenty of storage space as well. Many drawers, two closets, and some shelves. With the couch, I imagine the suite could sleep three people comfortably (though I wouldn't suggest more than two for a longer stay). There was plenty of seating available (three chairs at the table, and L sofa, and two ottomans). Although we saw that the rooms next to us were occupied, we never heard anything from the bedroom. In the living area, you could hear conversations out in the hallway fairly well, but those noises never made it to the bedroom. Breakfast was good- nothing particularly impressive, but perfectly fine for an included breakfast. Everything was clean, and the buffet had a nice assortment of options. We never got around to trying the omelet bar, but it seemed very popular. We did really appreciate that to-go boxes and drinks were available!

This was my first stay at one of the Hyatt House hotels, which is their equivalent of extended stay lodging that includes a living room, dining table, and small kitchenette. Unlike many other extended stay hotels, the room was fashionably designed and laid out in almost a loft style (though smaller). The size of the bed, the dining table, and the well-appointed bathroom were big pluses. There weren't many people in it because of the heat, but the attractive roof bar also looked great.

Location, location, location. The front of the hotel is on Broad Street, the main drag through downtown Augusta, and the building feels like its right at the end and in one of the more unattractive parts of the street. The view from my window was sort of the backside of Broad Street and that area is desperately in need of some redevelopment. Nonetheless, I felt totally safe in the hotel and its immediate environs and was comfortable my car was secure in their elevated and gated parking structure.

The staff was awesome, the front desk people are so nice, the house keepers were also friendly and attentive.

The shower door would shut the properly, it was sagging so it felt like the glass was going to break every time I shut it. I had to lift the shower door from the bar and slowly close it. The room would never get below 73 and felt stuffy and hot since there’s no fan. Also the pancakes are gross, please stop that.

Breakfast for great! Room was extra clean. Rooftop bar was amazing! Staff went the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome! So glad we booked to stay here. will definitely tell my friends about this location.

We loved the rooftop bar. Only thing that we felt was displeasing was we paid for all the amenities of this hotel. We were very disappointed to learn that on Saturday night (the night when people want to relax and have a few drinks) it was closed for a private event. We did not learn about this until we tried to make our way up. It would have been nice to know when we checked in.

Upon checking in, I mentioned the occasion for the stay was our 5th wedding anniversary. Without skipping a beat, the attendant upgraded our room. A quite significant upgrade at that. The other attendants were smiling, happy, courteous, and wished us a happy anniversary. Easily the best experience with a hotel that I’ve ever had.

Perhaps access to the parking structure for guests that are checking in. Parking beforehand was a bit random and inconsiderate.

Receptionists were awesome! Especially the guy that works on the second shift. Very helpful, very friendly.

I chose this location because it's literally a minute walk to the nearest night life spot and it was my friend's birthday. We put minor decorations up in which, we were to take down upon leaving (we did). It was the smart remarks made by the cleaning staff while I was taking my things to the car. "I hope they take all of that stuff down," as she proceeded to talk on the phone loudly while "working". Checkout isn't until noon but she entered our room at 10 am

I loved our room and spacious shower and comfortable bed. room was clean, lobby was nice, ROOFTOP bar was AMAZING!! the views up there were awesome with nice accomodations!

the front desk guy in the early morning was slow and not as friendly but it was 515 in the morning when i ran into an issue and needed assistance, finally he decided to help me and was still slow but we got it resolved

The included breakfast was excellent. The staff friendly and helpful. Room was good size and well equipped.

Was a little noisey. Noise from outside the building on Sat night and could hear a baby crying in the hallway outside my room for a while. A good hotel overall but over priced for where and what it is.

Front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean. The air conditioning system was very quiet and worked very well. Security for entry into the hotel was very good.

The bar staff for the upstairs and downstairs bar area did not seems to be the same caliber as the people working the front desk, cleaning staff, or breakfast area staff. Not very friendly or professional.

The location was walkable to museums, shops, and restaurants

The walls are thin so you hear your neighbors clearly especially at night
