Kings Land by Hilton Grand Vacations

Pro: * Huge apartment with all needed kitchen equipment. * Great pool, specially the kids area was fantastic. Even for our 13 month old daughter the sandy area was superb.

Con: * Absolutely no ingredients that you need for cooking (ie salt, pepper, oil, etc) available in the apartment. So you have to buy everything in partly large bottles for a stay of only some days, which means quite some left over at departure. * Due to the remote location, which is great for relaxing and enjoying of the vacation, there is ie no super market nearby. You need to have a car (which we luckily had), but without it will be really hard. Also due to limited (and expensive) F&B options at King's Land you have to take the car to get ie good coffee for breakfast.

The main pool is so much fun for the kids. They love the little sand area and the small slide. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. I loved the bed and the amount of pillows. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner. It was Memorial Day during our stay and there was such cute activities for the kids!

During our stay there were a lot of older kids rough housing around the kiddie pool area and going the wrong way up the slide and with no staff nearby to stop them. The staff on top of the big slide tried scolding them but it didn't deter them. My youngest slammed into one of them on the way down and was crying. Only downside to the room was the amount of little cockroaches that came out at night, but we are in Hawaii and bugs are just a normal part of life here.

The villa was spacious and comfortable. The staff were helpful when checking in. Loved that we could use the main Hilton resort that was a short drive away or shuttle bus. Lots to do around the resort - golf, walking, swimming, snorkeling etc. Shops that were close by offered lots of choice and were great to grab a few supplies. Great value for money.

Golf facilities were not as good as other resort hotels that we had used.

I love the facilities the pool is so fun for the children and the adults. The condo set up is lovely to make your own food.

The price definitely increased, we live on island and are from the big island I wish they would give locals a discount on the prices, because during the pandemic, we were the one supporting the hotel and staying there for a decent price

It’s a beautiful property, lots to walk around and see, whether it’s the goats that come around or the many birds. Each room gets its own patio to look out at

Although the front desk man named Blake told me the building I stayed in (burilding 23) was brand new , I found a lot of things in my room like the front door lock and the tvs where not working or secure. I called for a plunger and I never received it , I called once more and I was rudely hung up on.

Very nice! Kids loved the pool and slides. For younger kids, small pool with sand is awesome! Location was convenient, room had everything we needed for our stay. Property has beautiful views with golf and lava fields, flowers and palms. Yoga is a nice benefit!

I wish the pool is a bit warmer and I missed having a coffee shop with good coffee, so we had to drive to get good coffee

We loved everything about our stay! The suite was well appointed, modern, clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a meal. They even provided dishwasher tablets, washing liquid and washing powder for the washing machine which was really thoughtful. The pool is great for adults and kids! The Queens marketplace nearby has a grocery store and foodcourt. Would definitely recommend having a car to get around. Parking is free.

In terms of facilities - one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The pool was insane, the shuttle service very handy, ability to enjoy the whole Hilton campus, and the apartment was very comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay.

COVID is now an excuse for not making up the room regularly. Also everything apart from pool closed from 6pm - I feel the hotel would really benefit and profit from a breakfast buffet and on site shop to purchase food outside the bistro hours.

Our stay at King's Land on the island of Hawaii was absolutely wonderful! We purposely choose this particular property because it was advertised as quieter. It was a dream! All the staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Everything is beautiful, views, grounds, pools, There's a convenient shuttle that goes in a loop around to the hotels on the Hilton property and two shopping centers. The trip was magic and we hated to leave.

Had a problem with our sir conditioner the last day/night. The in-house maintenance man was fully trained in HVAC repair. Spent an hour fixing it, but the unit failed a few hours later. The next day the manager personally apologized and refunded us one night’s stay plus our resort fee…A very equitable reimbursement. He and his staff did allthey could given the situation. I left feeling very satisfied. I commend all who were involved. We look forward to returning with our entire family and recommending the resort to our friends.
