Red Roof Inn Bourbonnais

Over several years, Wyndham has been acquiring properties from hotel chains whose reputations are less than stellar, replacing management, updating and cleaning. The original names are retained, which gives the traveler accurate expectations of the level of accommodation. Red Roof is basic, but this site is more than sufficient: it includes refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, iron and ironing board, tv and wifi access, and several easily-accessed charging ports as well as electrical outlets. The bed was extremely comfortable, as was the room temperature.

Because I was on the ground floor, the outside noise was considerable, and there were rooms in either direction from one extremely noisy group! I suspect that upper floors are relatively quiet.

I like the fact that the owner and staff are very friendly and have resolved any of the few issues that came up. I had a long drive and a bad trip on my way up there years ago and I booked a room at a different hotel and unfortunately I was 2 hours early and they told me that they couldn’t check me in until 3 pm. I was extremely tired from the drive and I called this hotel and I explained my situation and the owner said…come on you in and we will take care of you with absolutely no hesitation. the owner is very nice and professional along with the staff. Great people who provide great service.

The value was great for the room. We only had to stay the one night. The manager was great because they didn’t have an elevator yet. He was very nice to come out and help us bring our bags up to our room. Which he didn’t have to do, but it was really really nice of him. The rooms have all been redone and are really nice. The only issues is the traffic noise at night. But I slept through it all my sister didn’t. The place is very very well lite up at night which is also great. And Red Roof Inn’s has had a bad rap lately but this place is changing that for sure.

Room was clean and orderly, as I want it. AC is functional and blows cold air. Bed was comfy and the bathroom covers all your needs. Good convenient location near the freeway and several places to eat/shop.

My particular room had a smell to it reminiscent of pets. I was able to tolerate it just fine, but it might be problematic for others.

The fact that it's under new ownership the building is new with upgrades including the lobby and that it's going to get a small restaurant and bar for folks to enjoy themselves even more!

When you sit on the bed or even when you get off it makes a huge banging sound that I think has something to do with the interior structure frame of the building. Beds should not make any type of metal banging noise like the ones I heard while I stayed there.

Great value for the money. We were looking for a pet friendly hotel traveling with 2 dogs, and this Red Roof had about the same price as Motel 6 – with waaaay better facilities. I wish all Red Roofs allowed pets with no extra charge.

Nothing really comes to mind. The area around the hotel is industrial but it's a cheap one night stand hotel. Who cares.

Convenient location. Newly opened, still being worked on. Room clean and comfortable and a great value. Exceptionally friendly staff. Exceeded all my needs/wants.

Room a little small. Outside noises could be heard, but used a Sleep sound App and it drowned out all noise. Room key required reprogramming several times - unsure if it was a lock or key issue.

beds where comfortable and very clean. the night shift employee was very very helpful. asked to change or room, as it did smell like cigarettes.

as we opened the room door it smelled a lot like cigarette smoke, did got to change rooms but the other one smelled, worse but we got the first one. it was fine we only wanted it for some hrs to sleep and head back to the road .

Comfortable beds. Good water pressure and hot water.. Shopping convenient. Microwave and Refrigerator.

Road noise in daytime. I worked on the night shift. Not much road noise at night so if you are sleeping at night like most people you are fine.

Property was well maintained and well lit. It was the cleanest red roof experience I’ve ever had in my years of travel. My entire family talked about how, if that level of cleanliness and service was kept at the level we experienced while there, that it would easily be where we would stay on our future trips.
