Best Western Grant Park Hotel

I loved how close all the main attractions that I wanted to see were to the hotel. The staff and valet attendants were great. My room conveniently had a mini fridge even though it didn't say it would anywhere. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was good, along with the temperatures. The air conditioning unit worked great. A little chilly on that side of the bed at night for sleeping, but survivability is probable. I would recommend this hotel if you like walking and sightseeing and if you don't require a super high maintenance stay for a couple of days.

One of the lights in the bathroom was out. I could have asked someone to replace it, but I honestly didn't have time.

The staff at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the best thing of all was the location. We were walking distance to the Art Institute and a half block from bike rentals to get to Lake Michigan where we swam!

I'd suggest getting a water bottle filling station in the main hallway. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast but would love some more vegan options!

Reasonable rates, great location, comfortable beds. We've stayed at this older hotel before, and it's not fancy, but the staff is super helpful, it's close to the museums and Soldier Field, lots of good restaurants, and the rooms, while basic, are comfortable and really all we need while checking out Chicago. They offer a locked room to check your luggage if your room's not ready or you've checked out and still want to see some sights before your train/flight.

The bathroom had been converted from a tub to a large shower, and it looks like an amateur job, with a shower curtain that only goes to the level of when it held a tub, scraped paint and caulk, etc, and a broken TP dispenser. Still functional enough for us. Maybe they're mid-renovation?

This hotel was conveniently located- an easy walk to the event we were in town for, parking structure on the other side of the block, and a ton of food nearby, including late night pizza! The man that checked us in was amazing-very friendly and made it a quick and easy process. There is a very cute pastry shop connected to the hotel. Overall, pretty good hotel experience.

The room was a little smaller than expected and the elevator was tight, but besides that, no major issues.

Location, location, location! Beautiful spot right across from Grant Park and the 11th Street bridge, that takes you to Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum and Adler Planetarium. Great restaurants, convenience stores, a grocery, and bus/train stops right around the corner or across the bridge. Comfortable beds, fridge, coffee maker and microwave in room. Staff was lovely and helpful. Less expensive than surrounding, newer hotels.

Attached restaurant and terrace are closed. Older hotel that is somewhat dated, with retrofit accessable shower that leaked water all over bathroom floor. We just made a "dam" with additional towels and didn't let it bother us.

Was on a corner room overlooking the park so I had a nice view. I was attending a conference at Soldier Field so the location allowed me to walk back and forth each day.

The bed was not very comfortable. The breakfast was just OK and pretty standard hotel breakfast fare. It was located in what appears to be a closed restaurant. The hallway to my room smelled like fried food. I think one of the other guest may have brought a cooker with them.

I'd say this place is an excellent value for the price, especially on Michigan Av. The view looking out over Grant Park and Lake Michigan was amazing. The rooms had all the usual accommodations you'd expect and everything worked well. The location is perfect if you happen to be going to any of the museums or the aquarium.

Nothing really. For my personal preference the pillows were way too soft, but that's just me.

Loved the location and friendly staff. Valet parking was great too. Rooms were comfortable and came with a microwave and fridge. The grab n go breakfast was a nice treat.

I believe I booked for a lake view. I had a view of the field museum which was great but thought I'd get a better view. Bathrooms were a little small but it had the essentials and I'm really just nit picking. It was overall amazing

The staff here was super friendly and always willing to help. Free breakfast and coffee every morning was really nice to have before heading out for our day.

Hotel could use a little maintenance. The toilet was loose and would move every time you sat down. Paint peeling off the bathroom door. I think they should also update the coffee maker to a Keurig for those who spend mornings in their room.

Location was perfect, price wS great for what you need it for. We literally explored all day and evening, clean rooms for a night if rest

I'm sure it was no fault of hotel, but the people next door to us were loud and obnoxiou ALL night!! After 2 full days exploring it was rough not getting sleep. Not sure if someone had issues in the room but they were basically yelling until 4am both nights.
