Very nice room, high and comfy bed with a huge blanket! I have felt like a queen! Really nice bathroom with a big shower and a marble vanity! Nice wallpaper! The armchair is really comfy! Very nice lobby with different styles of chairs and golden decoration. They have wifi in the lobby. There is an old typewriter, where you can write something for your people at home. I highly recommend this hotel!

Valet parking expensive.

So much. We had a dog and were on the same floor with other pet owners. We could only hear noise from our neighbors when we were outside of the room, with the exception of a sweet puppy who was missing its owners for a few minutes. Just about everyone on staff was helpful and resourceful even when they couldn't help us with something. The location of the hotel is just across the street from Grant Park, which means close to museums, restaurants, the Metra, highway, and walkable to so much. We didn't opt for the hotel parking, but found cheaper and great parking not even a block away that allowed for in and out (versus paying to park everytime we left the lot/garage). With the exception of the rude employee, we had an incredible stay.

I asked a staff member to change a $20 so I could tip another staff member who was helping us with our bags. The gentleman politely asked me to wait a moment while he finished a transaction for a waiting staff member. I said thank you and stepped back. The staff member who was waiting, and who I didn't ask, then said, "As the saying goes, do I look like a bank?" She began patting her pockets. I didn't ask her and the gentleman had already addressed me. I don't know what emboldened her to say that. I'm black, she was white; I also look young and she was looked older, but she really should have kept her mouth closed.

Wonderful location, beautiful facility. Chicago is slowly reopening and the staff was very accommodating. The room was spacious, the bedding was comfortable, bathroom lovely! Everything was super clean, with modern amenities. Still a very vintage, boutique-feel which I love. They have high floors, ask for a room with a view!

This is going to sound silly, but complimentary water on-site. It makes a world of difference to us. We stayed in a room directly on the opposing wall of the most functioning elevator, and since it was quite busy, we had a lot of noise.

Loved that the hotel was walking distance to Solider Field. Also loved the 1920’s vibe with original decorations and stories in the lobby. Room was comfortable and very updated. Very clean.

Price. Granted it was a concert weekend but that is the most I have EVER paid for a hotel room. Certainly was my choice to book but looking back $800+ to sleep for 1 night is crazy.

Beautiful architecture, nice staff, quite and spacious room (king guest room). Big bathroom and good shower. Walking distance, less than 5 minutes, to Buddy Guy's Legends. The location was what we needed, but someone might prefer to be closer to the Riverwalk. But it is still walking distance (25minutes...). Chicago is very easy to walk. The room has a smart tv, starbucks coffee, wifi is not for free (around U$15/day), good bath products. As far as I remember, it's quite expensive the overnight parking (U$70+...)

Breakfast just on weekends at the Mercat a la planxa, a Spanish restaurant inside the hotel. So the breakfast is a la carte, Spanish stile menu. Good food. The hotel also give you a list with restaurants and breakfast places. And there's a small grocery store (Go Grocer) one block away where you also can buy something. The mattress was too soft to me, but I've never slept in a hotel that had a firm mattress.

The hotel is situated on Michigan Avenue on the opposite side of Grant Park and is convenient to all the attractions of the Loop. It is also a beautiful, historical property, with a gorgeous interior and high-quality restaurant contained within it.

The queen-sized bed was somewhat small, and there are no breakfast options on the premises.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The coffee in the room was so delicious! The valet parking and all the staff in general is very kind, friendly and very helpful! The view from the room was stunning! I felt very welcome, they even have fruit at the front desk for you to enjoy!

They have the toilet paper in a location difficult to reach.
