Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown - Magnificent Mile

I loved the layout of our suite, which worked great when traveling with family- there as a full separate bedroom with a door separate from the bathroom area and wonderful living room/kitchen area. It helped us all stay separate and have room to move around and respect people who were sleeping later. The location is great and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I wish hotels updated the pullout sofas as often as the beds! It was so great to have this as an option, but it was old and not comfortable. There are two emergency rooms nearby, which created a lot of noisy traffic at night. As a family who is very COVID-careful, the breakfast room was not an option for us. A very small enclosed space for the volume of people who are eating within a limited amount of time.

3415 was our room and the view was AMAZING!! The night staff was awesome, wish I would have gotten his name!

Check out on Sunday, there was this lady that was the only one at the desk... she had a bad attitude.

Easy access and great location

there was construction going on during the time of stay. No noise but just a little inconvenient getting in and out.

All the staff was so friendly! Our room was upgraded and had a wonderful view of the high rises and Lake Michigan. The breakfast offered enough variety that I didn’t feel i was eating the same thing every day. The orange juice tasted fresh and not watered down at all!

I wish the towels were better quality. A little bit bigger and thicker would have been great. The pull out couch mattress is severely thin and outdated. Traveling with family, the rooms with a bed and a pull out couch are economically great, but it’s unfortunate when 1 option is super comfortable and 1 is painful and leaves your body sore and unrested. At least a good mattress topper might help.

The rooms and the view were beautiful. I also loved the brownies and cookies and water that were out each morning. There was a really nice lady in the foyer that gave my kids some candy and coloring pages. Almost each day. One day she even gave us bus passes. That was a really nice touch.

I didn’t like that there was an air conditioning in the hallway, or the elevator, we were really hot and sweaty. It took two calls to get some extra towels. I also didn’t like that you had to schedule housekeeping so far in advance for the money it was OK. The pillows were terrible.

Location is right in the center of the town, everything is within walking distance. The room was like a mini apartment, had all amenities and the staff was very happy to accommodate any request you had. The kitchenette was equipped with a large fridge, microwave, cooker, dishwasher, cutlery. The shower in the bathroom was very good, there were towels provided and more given if needed. The view was ok from the 22nd floor lots of surrounding buildings the same height. There is a fold out bed which is very comfortable.

Chicago is an extremely cold city so the rooms can be cold and the bed linen was not great, however if you asked the staff for more duvets they were happy to help. The elevators in the hotel are very slow but the staff inform you of this and are happy to help you. **SECURITY DEPOSIT** Its $100 per night per room security deposit not $100 as quoted on booking.com. when we arrived we had to pay $600 to cover both rooms, it is refunded when you leave and I did contact booking.com who did contact the hotel who then said we would get it back but not until we checked out. however, we still needed to pay $120 each instead of the $20 a previously thought.

We loved the pool on the 40th floor. They did accommodate us and got us a room as high as they could - 34th floor. The staff is friendly. Also, the location is right by the Disney Store and a couple blocks from Water Place which the kids loved for American Girl doll and the Lego store.

No breakfast due to COVID but they didn’t announce that in their listing. No other option provided. Also, rooms were not cleaned daily and so we had to ask for towels and new garbage bags every day. The bed we stayed in had metal sticking out of it. It scraped me twice and cut my daughter and made her bleed. Very dangerous!

Tv channels are old need to upgrade to smart tvs and more choices for breakfast

Great location. Swimming pool on the roof. Fast elevator. Comfortable bed. Clean dishes in the dishwasher.

It was my birthday. While checking in I asked at the reception if they have any compliments for guests on their birthdays, and a lady answered she would send me something. Nothing happened until the evening and when I asked again (if I understood correctly first time) another lady told me they didn't usually give anything... but I could take something from a fridge in the lobby. I took an ice cream and ate it at the swimming pool (which is pretty small and old).

Location was perfect. Stuff were super nice.

1. Dinnerware wasn't sufficient, especially number of utensils. 2. Bathtub wasn't draining properly. After second person taking shower, the water wasn't going down same as before. 3. The same shortage was with towels, pillows and extra blanket.
