location was convenient , the bed was comfortable and the hotel has a great bar in the lobby

my entire stay of 5 days I didn’t have a hotel key , the machine wasn’t working so the staff had to escort you to your room , I felt unsafe as they never confirmed if they ere escorting you to your actual room , they will just ask you and take your word for it and the hotel was packed of people so it’s impossible that they knew ever guest

The staff upon check-in were outstanding! The location, decor and vibe were great. After hours the bar was alive with young people who were kind and courteous. The suite was very nice. Even the pillows were cool and much more comfortable than most.

The bed was a bit shaky. No coffee maker in-suite but there is a bakery downstairs and, of course, Starbucks across the street. My only problem was upon chech-out( when problems are most annoying). Upon check-in, I was told that the cost to upgrade to a suite was $25/ night. Upon check-out ( different desk staff) informed me that my upgrade was actually $75/ night. HUGE DIFFERENCE!! Fortunately, we were able to come to an agreement

I like the decor. It was a pictured in the photos provided. If you have a window facing the back of the hotel, look out your window for random art! I liked there were 2 bar options. I wanted to a low key vibe so opted for the upstairs bar. And thanks to the responsive staff. There were a couple of loud people on my floor late at night … sounded like they were hanging out in the hallway. I called the front desk and they immediately came up and took care of the problem.

I had problems with my card key and had to get it corrected a couple of times the 1st 2 days I was there and didn’t have further problems after that. The cafe connected to the hotel was closed 1 day because cafe staff didn’t showed up … not the fault of the hotel but when that is your only breakfast option in the hotel it was disappointing.

The location was great, and the room was small but comfortable. We found the shower especially good, warm and spacious. The premises are clean and the room was also clean, although you must require daily clean if needed (otherwise it won't get serviced). Flexibility on late check out for a fee (free check out until 12pm, otherwise 35 USD extra for check out at 2pm which was convenient as our flight was late). We loved the bakery downstairs offering some vegan options, and the general vibe of the hotel, It was quiet enough to have a good night sleep. We could leave our bags for a few extra hours as well at no charge.

When we had booked we loved the offer of fresh coffee being delivered to the room, however this was not offered or available when we stayed. Would have been nice to have at least a kettle in the room as an option, but this was not available. We found later that we paid more than what stated on our booking reference, unsure why as we did not get a receipt. Staff generally nice and friendly, especially the nice guy with beard, however inconsistently some staff were not equally friendly however still professional.

The location is amazing. Red line is a 2 minute walk around the corner. Jewel grocery is the same -- with a fridge in the room you can stock up on drinks. Pizzeria Uno is two doors down. If you happen to have a city view room, the view is absolutely amazing! The decor is fun. The women at the front desk were incredibly nice and friendly. WiFi was excellent. I have a Microsoft Teams meeting that was almost 2 hours and I had my video on the whole time with no issue.

I think others have mentioned this, but the TV did not work. It couldn't connect to their source. I think they need to invest in a different television option. I had my computer and watches TV on there, but having a working TV is a basic in a hotel.

The staff were great, really helpful. They changed us to a bigger room, when the first one was quite a bit smaller than we thought from booking.com . The hotel is really cool, the music, the décor, the bar is fantastic. Great facilities and amazing location. Bed was super comfy!

The first room, which is the one that got automatically booked from Booking,com - i.e. cheapest available- was not at all what we saw in the pictures first. It was really poky, with things on the floor, like the safe and iron. It was just going to be uncomfortable for two people to spend 4 nights. But the staff were great when we asked for a different room.

The room was cute, the bed super comfortable. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I asked for additional pillows and they had one but needed one more. Within an hour they were at our room with the additional pillow. The place is very close to the red line (which is great since we were going to the game at Wrigley) restaurants and shopping. My wife and I try to come up to Chicago every year and this place will be in our book of favorite places to stay..

The bathroom sink drain was a bit slow. The window looking out was a bit grimmy which made our view not as desirable.

Staff was great and the rooms were exactly like the pictures. Great decoration and feel. Shower also had great pressure. The bed also in my opinion was very comfortable and soft all around. Had small details which were a plus like Alexa and a mini fridge.

We could hear everything going on in the street. If you are a light sleeper don't know if I would recommend this location in general. I was surprised they didn't have thicker windows, but don't know if it has to do with preserving original buildings in the city.

Easy to check in - lots of amenities in the building (bar & lounge @ Berkshire Room, cafe, business center, fitness center). Location on Ohio St. is very convenient to shopping and restaurants + most Chicago Loop and River North attractions. Room was small but very nicely appointed with a nice bathroom and shower, big television, decent storage space. Nice table & seating. Mini fridge actually kept food and drinks cold. Heat and A/C worked perfectly. Good free WiFi.

Hotel was a little noisy (it was a Friday night, so it was to be expected), but not terribly so. Mattress on bed was not the most comfortable but was serviceable. Hotel should require a keycard to access floors with rooms on the elevator.

Beautiful centrally located property, love the art, the rooms have everything you’d need including a speaker and wonderful heat lamp near shower. It was cozy and checked our boxes.

Honestly when we arrived the staff was very obviously miserable, at “work” and nothing more. They barked at us for a driver license and continued their personal gossip amongst themselves as if we were inconveniencing them. I know it’s Chicago, but it’s unprofessional in a hospitality environment where guests should be welcomed at a bare minimum.. We had come for a major doctor appointment and it was an abrasive greeting we could have done without. As an aside, I didn’t totally love the sheets, they felt a little cheap or lesser quality and made us sweat. We also had issues with the wifi working for our devices and ended up using our data.
