Sonesta Select Chicago Elgin West Dundee

The staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. The property was very clean inside and out. The location is perfect because you can walk it is in walking distance to a couple different restaurants and a gas station if needed.

my only issue was the refrigerator in my room didn’t work properly & would shut off without notice. My food and drinks spoiled. I advised the staff and they took note of it, but couldn’t get it fixed or changed out until after I left.

I believe it was originally a Marriott, it’s extremely clean and modern, considering it’s almost 20 years old. It has a beautiful courtyard in the back with a fire pit and is enclosed in private staff are very courteous and helpful and polite; I highly recommend this particular hotel, regardless of the duration, or reason for one’s stay.

Rooms were a nice size. Seemed well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great for us.

There was no breakfast service, just coffee. We were told that they are doing rehab on their food facilities but saw no evidence. Only snacks available, equivalent to a snack machine. Luckily, an awesome restaurant next door, Alexander's Cafe, for breakfast and lunch. Other options just a short drive.

The location was great. The room decor and cleanliness in the room were also good. The staff was pleasant.

The bathroom sink had no stopper. The bathroom itself seemed like it needed to be upgraded to match the room. Some of the TV stations had picture but no sound. Refrigerator could have been cleaner. Advertised as having breakfast available but it wasn't.

The location is maybe a mile from I-290, so if you need to use the interstates it's handy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Public areas are comfortable and inviting.

We didn't catch the restaurant open during our stay, so we didn't try it. I think it just opened at the end of January 2023, so the hours may expand in the future.

The workers here are amazing people. Caring, professional and exceptional in their assistance. This facility is clean, orderly and equipped. The environment is so serene. This is a good place to be.

Expected breakfast but never found one available. They need to change some of their pillows completely because of odor. Pretty much, everything other thing seems ok to me. They’re doing their best I believe.

Good location, clean rooms, comfortable sheets. It's a plus that there's a gas station right in the parking lot. Right by the tollway if you want to drive into Chicago.

Some trash in the hallways, but that was just an inconsiderate guest. Entrances smelled like smoke even though there's signs posted not to smoke within 15 ft.

Absolutely LOVED our stay here!! From Martin, the manager, to Bev ( who is like everyone's grandma) and the guys at the desk, to Cheryl and the rest of the house keeping staff! We were treated like family! Can not say enough positive things about Sonesta and our stay there!

No complaints what so ever!

Great value on the room. The rooms are not extravagant, but fine for an overnight stay. We stayed one night on our way to another destination, and then one night on the way back.

The room in the second night we stayed was definitely not as clean as the first night. The chair was stained and there were stains on the bathroom door.

Brown Bag breakfast it was okay got there at 5 p.m. January 7th young lady would not let me in until she got done doing what she was doing and it was freezing

some of the staff was acting suspicious of the guests, I really felt uncomfortable
