Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago - Hoffman Estates, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was excellent--really appreciate that the oatmeal was prepared in a slow cooker; loved my cinnamon bagel. The comfort of the bed was exceptional. We had been looking for a quiet, reasonable place close to Chicago. (We make our halfway stop from Minnesota as close to Chicago as possible--we will be coming back here regularly! There is a new, lively shopping area (The Arboretum) nearby which had several meal choices.

The only thing I can think of was the lack of decaf coffee with breakfast--some of us can't have caffeine, and I didn't appreciate the idea of having to make my coffee in the room and carry it down.

I was disappointed that there was no yogurt or milk products because your truck did not make it in for delivery. I think the hotel should’ve gone out and bought products from a grocery store. But the gentleman in the area that was there maintaining the breakfast area and the food was fabulous!! He was very nice and helpful and made up for the lacking of the cold products. I would give him a 10+ star!

I thought the price was a little bit higher than compared to the neighboring hotels. The breakfast was good but again you did not have any yogurt or additional cold products.

Convenient location to all suburbs, traveling, shopping, eating, Very comfortable bed and pillows, nice desk area, clean bathroom. Room at end of hall for easy parking and in/out of room.

Messed up a 2 day extension taking time to resolve. Some vacuuming at 7:30am in room above one morning.

The room and bathroom were so clean they looked brand new. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The rooms have all necessities including spotless microwave, Keurig, and mid- size fridge. Spacious and cozy decor!

I liked everything!

We stopped off at this hotel on a family road-trip touring colleges. The location was convenient to the freeway and the hotel itself basically seems brand new. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who was running the breakfast area in the morning was A+++, and treated his job like he was a waiter in a 5-star restaurant!!!! We could all take a lesson from his positive attitude and work ethic!

I can't come up with anything negative to say about this property.

Once we found there was a second entrance by I-90 that had food, stores, etc we thought we had a good location for quietness. Breakfast was ok. Good variety of choices. The yogurt I had was runny and the bananas that had brown spots were mushy when peeled.

Maybe some muffins or Danish for breakfast? Other than that idea, there was nothing else we didn't like.

The breakfast was great. Family of 5 and there were plenty of choices to make everyone happy! The pool was fun for the kiddos and the room was spacious enough for all of us!

The only thing we didn’t like is possibly unavoidable. The AC was kind of noisy the way it kept kicking on and off all night. We’ve stayed at plenty of hotels and this usually is the case, but it’s the only thing that was remotely a negative.

The pool was great for the kids with a great breakfast selection! The hotel was clean and had comfy and clean beds.

The pull out couch didn’t provide sheets or a comforter with it and the staff “couldn’t find” sheets for it. The pool was also very cold

Everything! We came for a couples baby shower in Barrington, IL. Stayed 2 nights. The whole facility inside and out was immaculate. The bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was over the top, and the host gave an added touch of class to the hotel. Would stay here again!

No negative things to say at all!

Great location, overall good experience, new building with clean (but small) pull, fully equipped gym, clean rooms.

There was some shortage of food when arrive just before end of breakfast time, corridor and hall in front of elevators (and elevators itself) was dirty..
