Motel 6-Elk Grove Village, IL

Not as friendly this time

One thing l didn't like as soon as l arrived the police seemed to be checking plate stickers, it's not the hotels fault. But it made me uncomfortable, because the way they did it, l just arrived in the parking lot and they pulled in front of my vehicle and my sister just called me so l am now on the phone with the police looking at me. Then the police proceeded to drive around to the back of my vehicle to look at my plate sticker. It was just rude to do when just arriving and parking could have waited until l was inside the hotel.

I stay there 70 percent of the year. The direct TV is always a problem. It works fine for a few day's then it's searching for a signal all the time. It's also sunny so they can't say it's due to clouds or rain.Very frustrating. I work a physical job all day and I look forward to watching some TV before bed and I can't many nights.

Clean, friendly staff, good value for the money, close to OHare. Room was very basic but clean and comfortable.

There are NO places to eat after 9 pm or so within a reasonable driving distance. If you are checking in late, be sure to dine before check-in or bring something to eat with you. Also, if you are unfortunate enough to have noisy neighbors, you are going to hear them as the walls are definitely not soundproof.

We booked it for the location. It was only 1 night so we didn't need anything fancy. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was pet friendly so we were able to travel with our small toy poodle.

A refrigerator would have been nice but we had a cooler and the motel had ice so we were OK. I couldn't get the WiFi to work with my computer so I ended up using my phone as a hotspot.

I was looking for a clean & inexpensive place to stay while I attended a convention. The motel was about 20 minutes from the convention, so it worked out well. I liked that a couple places to eat were within walking distance.

I believe housekeeping missed my room for the most part between days one and two. Looks like a towel was replaced, but the bed wasn't made (no big deal) but those soaps are tiny and I was hoping they would be replenished. The shower pressure was a bit low, but I understand conservation and managed that just fine.

For a Motel 6 I was very, very pleased and surprised at the quality of this hotel. Room is very basic but it was clean and fresh. Staff friendly, helpful and overall the property was well maintained and safe. If you don't need much, just a clean and quiet room to rest your head, this place will def do.

Wi-Fi was really poor. I couldn't ever keep a connection, wi-fi signal kept going in and out, super frustrating.

Room was clean and the staff replaced the linen, did some cleaning and took out the trash almost every day. They have a ice machine but strangely no water cooler.

The room rate that you get at the front desk is higher than the rate you get online from Booking.com or any other website. I didn't know how long I was going to be staying there, so I had to go through the booking process on Booking.com from scratch each night to extend my stay by 1 day. Either the front desk should match the website rate or Booking.com should add a feature to easily extend stay on existing reservations.

The clerk named Dave is amazing! His Friendly out going personality is the reason my family and I stay here. He is irreplaceable to me because he insisted walking my dog's during my stay.

The weather was cold. It rained one day then snowed the next. I hope it's not snowing again on tonight.

We booked for 4 days, and on the first night it was impossible to sleep, because in the next room the dog barked very loudly, the staff immediately changed the room

Perfect for what we needed which was a cheap place to stay in the area. Extremely comfortable bed . Very friendly staff.

Having a room that faced the highway made it quite noisy at night.
