Super 8 by Wyndham Gas City Marion Area

I had been awake for almost 24 hours when I called the front desk to speak with someone about an early check in time. I spoke with Lisa (possibly Linda, I am terrible with names) about my situation and she got in me as early as possible! I was ecstatic and more than grateful for her help. She even got me a very quiet room on the second floor so as to not be bothered during the housekeepers work on the first floor.

The bathroom and left side electrical was controlled by a switch on the inside of the room door. This switch also had the sink light and bathroom connected to it, so in order to keep the refrigerator and microwave on, I would have had to keep the sink light on. Luckily I didn't need either of those things.

This hotel was very clean. The first thing you smelled when you walked in was cleaning chemicals, and the staff was cleaning day and night. They were very accommodating and kind, too. The shower was good and hot and had good pressure. I will definitely stay here again the next time I go up to visit family.

It was a little bit dark in the bathroom, but your eyes adjusted to it pretty quickly while you were in the shower.

The location was close to our activities and close to Cracker Barrel and Payne's Restaurant. The breakfast was adequate with cereal, yogurt, juice and toast. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Friendly workers

The bathtub had a crack on the bottom which had been taped, but still gave a little

There wasn’t any kind of water fountain on site and I rarely carry cash for the vending machines. It would be nice to have a small area with a cooler with drinks and small snack items to be paid for by either charging the room or having payment by card be an option.

So very impressed with the young man at check in.. And who ever was helping him. They were so friendly answered my questions and made me feel so welcome That's huge had been a long day... And the got.me an extra shampoo and conditioner those tiny bottles don't do long hair. The Chinese food they recommended was excellent and delivered right to my door still hot.. Thank you thank you. The girl surfing the day was ok but not nearly as kind as they were last night. But still good.

There's paint peeling and flaking off all around the top of the shower... And no breakfast at all.would like to at least be able to get something cold and coffee and take it back to my room like the other. (Comfort) hotels..

we have traveled 2000+ miles and in todays times every hotel had challenges- this hotel made the stay pleasant regardless of the challenges. chose this hotel

the pleasantness of the staff outweighed what I didn’t like.

Guy at reception was fantastic!! He needs to be working at a resort! Room was quiet, clean and while not new, it was nicely furnished. Bed and bedding was comfortable and nice. Great value.

Touch up paint job in bathroom is gloss in spots on matte. HVAC unit didn't run properly as it didn't allow for the fan to be left on. Due to Covid still, I guess (so sad), their 'free breakfast' advertised is a fruit granola bar. Really? Boo.

Breakfast was not being served because of the pandemic, but they did have fruit bars and the front desk which was very nice. The care that the housekeeper took in preparing the room was EXCEPTIONAL! The room was spotless, and the unique folding of the towels was especially interesting. I left here a good tip!

There wasn't much that we could say we didn't like. We couldn't figure out the television (we're not too savvy on that kind of thing), but we were just there for one night, and mainly just for a place to crash and sleep. So it was no big deal. And I know that if we were going to stay there for a length of time, someone would have been more than willing to assist us!

Perfect location for us. Halfway to our destination in Michigan. There was an excellent British restaurant called Payne’s. Food was excellent. Fish and chips really tasty. The owner buys wild caught Atlantic cod and butchers it himself. Good micro brewery beers.very restful

Very helpful and eager to please. You have to ask for housekeeping. That's a good thing. Anything you need they will make sure you get it, extra towels, etc.

The virus effects lots of things. No fault with the hotel. Just the way it is right now.
