Hampton Inn & Suites Kokomo

Staff friendly and hospitable- fresh coffee, hot water, ice tea available in lobby at all times. Fresh fruit and water bottles served before breakfast hours for those who had to take off before breakfast. Lobby and rooms clean. Our ice bucket had water in it from not being emptied from previous guests but not a deal breaker. We have stayed there before and will stay again! I stayed with my two daughters and felt completely safe both inside and outside the hotel. Most of the guests appeared to be families staying for sports events as well as coaches and referees.

Hotel breakfasts are never that special this was no better or worse (good coffee though). Newspapers available. Finding the entrance to the hotel off the main road was TERRIBLE ! I couldn't believe an entrance could be so weird, Speaking of weird, whoever picked out the color for the walls should be fired. Other than those few things - it was a good place to stay. Clean - that's the important thing :)

Nice facility. Comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was good. Pool nice (wish it had a hot tub lol) and could have been warmer in pool area. Staff nice enough. Good stay.

I would say the biggest complaint was that the room would get a marijuana smell from some other rooms once in a while and the kids were like what is that smell. Some people have no respect. Not necessarily the facilities fault but is bad everywhere anymore.

The area was large and there was a pretty good choice of food but I miss the hard boiled eggs

We had requested connecting rooms since we were taking 2 of my sons 5 kids in our room, but didn’t get it also, My room had a small counter in the bathroom, 3 other family members had the same 2 queen bed rooms and they had nice large counters. My room should have been discounted for that reason. Getting ready for a wedding and we could have used more room.

A major storm hit the day after I arrived; 11 inches with some ice. I was in Kokomo to visit my sister who is in a nursing home away from her family. She has brain and lung cancer. The staff was very reassuring about the storm. Chris, Victoria, Chelse and Kathy were very kind. Kathy went out of her way every morning to see how I was doing. I am very grateful to all the staff who worked through the storm to make sure all guests were safe and cared for.

Breakfast was good, with a good variety of fruit, juices, hot & cold menu items. Hot foods could be warmer. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was spacious.

TV cable kept going out and interrupted shows. Window coverings need to keep light out better. It was like having a light on in the room all night.

Easy check in, nice room, clean

Bathtub is higher than the floor and you can fall easily because there is hardly any flat portion to the tub. We are in our 40s and no fear of falling. Now we have to pay 5.00 for parking and that was not discussed or displayed.

room 201 is next to the elevator. You can hear it running every time it goes past the floor. I don’t recommend staying in that room. They add a $25 incidental fee to your room I’m assuming for the little snack grocery by the front desk.

Checkout is at 11a.m. At 10:15a.m. housekeeping knocks on the door. Because I didn't answer who is it in a timely manner. They decided to open the door. If checkout is a 11, there is no reason housekeeping should have wanted to enter our room.

Shampoo, cream rents and lotion in the bathroom. We're exceptional, nice sent, and worked really well. Nice to have these available at our fingertips.

I believe the room was overpriced, $144 a night seemed outrageous to me.
