Travelodge by Wyndham La Porte/Michigan City Area

The building and room were clean and the bed comfortable. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic, but sufficient with three tables in the check-in office. Lots of shopping and and food choices nearby. Nice town.

A couple of outlets didn't work but there were two outlets on the clock radio, the hair dryer fell out of holder several times when the wire was bumped, and the door bolt lock would not engage. Be aware that there are no elevators or luggage dollies. A/C was a little noisy when it cycled on an off.

It's a small family run hotel. It's a hard-working good-hearted place.

It's gotten older, and needs to have some updates done. I know that doing so would be an expensive endeavor for a mom and pop business, but it's coming time. Older carpets have gotten worn out over the years, from the constant moisture of snow and such.

Location. Front desk clerk was very nice... It was very quite no problems at all.

The air doesn't work all the time. It kept shutting off... And in the bathroom the shower to pull the pug up to make the shower starts that came off from the wall

Debbie Patel was extremely accommodating on our first visit last year after we had gone to a different hotel and was so disgusted we left without another place to stay. She made sure our stay was perfect so we returned for 4th of July weekend. She remembered us and was so friendly, we felt like we were at home. She made sure this visit was as perfect as the first. This will now be our home base every trip we make to Indiana.

Nothing could make it better, it was the best!

It’s was in a nice area close to restaurants and stores. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us a bottom floor room close to a door since we brought our dogs. The room was clean and the facilities were clean as well.

For Pet’s they didn’t have a lot of grass area but across the street.

Breakfast was quite limited

First room did not have sheets on the bed! Manager quickly got me another room but bed was sloppy. Doesn’t anyone take pride in a job well done anymore?
