Best Western Indian Oak

I did not like that we shared our waterfront balcony with the rest of the hotel. I was under the impression our king suite had more privacy. we had to keep our view of Lake Chub and the wildlife it had to offer because of the traffic in front of our balcony doors had to stay covered. Other than that it was very pleasant.

I liked how you could see the housekeepers all the time. It made me happy to know that the rooms were in fact being cleaned.

There was a group of people who had a bunch of children around 12 years old that kept running around the halls on the last night of my stay and when asked who was running around claimed they had no clue.

The staff was very friendly. We had a very large group with about 10 kids and we didn't check in til 8pm he said he would keep the pool open later than normal for the kids to be able to swim. Great view of the pond. Everyth

Pool area was over chemicaled hard to breathe. We had to open all the windows The only thing miss that could have made the stay better would have been a hot tube

The bed was very comfortable. I liked the breakfast. My sons room was on the lake and my grandaughers loved it. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. the pool was clean. It was close to food and shopping but still quiet.

It could use a little tlc, but nothing important.

Although we were late to pick up breakfast after sleeping in a bit after a long day visiting Chicago, the nice employee at the front desk still gave us the breakfast bags which had a breakfast burrito to microwave, yogurt, water, and a banana I think. Also, the pool at this hotel was big and awesome. We didn't get to use it too much, but there is plenty of room in there. Many hotels seem to build the smallest pool they are required to build. This hotel used to be a resort of some sort, so that is why the pool is so big. Hopefully they keep it. It was nice for kids to play in and adults to swim laps in.

I wish all hotels would just offer breakfast until 9:30 or 10 for those who sleep in a little, who might be on vacation, get in late the night before, for those with kids who sleep in a bit, etc.

It was clean, quiet and felt safe. We enjoyed looking at the lake behind it while eating breakfast. The beds were VERY comfortable and the staff was very friendly and seemed to work hard to make guests happy. The location was perfect, very easy access to the highway but not right next to it where you would hear the traffic. Centralized so it was not a far drive to any of the sites.

There isn't really anything I could complain about with this hotel. At first when we pulled in the lot I thought..."oh no" I do not like how it sits way back. However, don't be deceived, the lot was clean and gave easy access to everything. The hotel proved to be very safe and welcoming.

Breakfast was very good - they had a waffle machine as well as scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is located close to several fast food places and it's only a few miles from Indiana Dunes State Park.

The workout room could have had more options, but it was better than nothing.

The continental breakfast was nice and the overall quietness of the hotel was great! The front desk staff at night were very helpful with my reservation.

I would say the overall cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. A good scrubbing of the tub would've been nice.

There is nothing to like the place. The hotel is in great location, and the Lakeview was awesome 👌and swimming was wonderful. Also kept well maintenance. All staff were professional kudos 👏 to them! As will the owner of the hotel. I would definitely would be back with friends and family.

I would like the TV more updated. I couldn't connect to our Netflix and YouTube for the kids.
