Hillside Inn

Waffles were great. The rest of the breakfast was average or less. There was no fat free milk or yogurt. Good, hot coffee.

The breakfast area in the lower level has a fabulous view with full windows overlooking the city, the bridge and the river and without the noise of the balcony. However, that area was blocked off and guests were not allowed in that area. Everyone was crowded into a windowless, smaller space and there were not enough tables for everyone!

We loved sitting on the balcony watching the traffic, river, and watching people. The breakfast could have been warm. The room could use a small microwave. Overall it was a great weekend!! Thanks

The breakfast could have been better maintained. We got down about 8 am. Things were cold. Bacon and sausage needed to be refilled. Couldn’t find anyone to help.

Very comfy beds, friendly staff, absolutely wonderful breakfast! Beautiful view, perfect temperature in the room.

Slightly out dated with vending machines and very tiny tubs also thin walls and some type of machine kept powering up every 10/15 minutes through the night I’m not sure what it was. Other then that there wasn’t much to complain about we had a very lovely stay and will stay again!

The place was in a great location and the sites were amazing. We so enjoyed our trip to Madison and Hillside Inn made that possible for us.

There was not a screen on one of our rooms for the double door that opens out to the balcony. It would have been nice for that to be there but it didn't stop us from enjoying the balcony.

Super steep hill! Best to group from the right side of hotel. Entrance on left(closet to downtown is incredibly steep and there’s a drain that needs replaced. The drain is sunken with no warning marked. Breakfast is not good!

The rooms were clean and the staff was great. it’s an old hotel with history and we loved it. There is a private, lower level, where visitors get their coffee and breakfast. Not only that, it’s an area where our group could get together and play cards and have some fun without disturbing other guests after our day of visiting the area. The best part was the balcony with that beautiful view!

The only thing we did not care for was the coffee maker placed in the bathroom. We would not use it. That could be set on the room’s eating table, where it’s more sanitary.

Staff was very friendly, great price, and clean. The breakfast was great and they kept it well stocked.

None of the doors had mechanisms to prevent them from slamming so you always heard door’s getting slammed through the night. Also heard chairs scooting around on the laminate floor in the rooms above.

Quiet and comfortable breakfast was decent

Television was very small my wife couldn't see it from the bed I thought I was getting a room with a panoramic view of the Ohio River however I had a few of the parking lot and the hill behind the hotel

We had a wonderful view of the city and river. The bed was firm but comfortable. It is an old hotel but has been remodeled. The only fault that I could find (if you call it a fault). the room has no usb connections so take your charger plugs. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The view was incredible. We loved the balcony for visiting. The included breakfast was a nice option as well.

The binder in the room with nearby restaurants and activities is outdated. Maybe consider a QR code with updated links or a brochure with highlights. Such as the local mansion.
