Baymont by Wyndham Portage

We are up early and we were such in a rush relying on family picking us up and dropping us off. it was great being able to eat breakfast before heading to my aunts services and burial.

they accidentally only keyed us for one night and not both nights. After several tries we returned to the front desk to get access to our room. I had booked an accessible room and had to remind at check in so he changed our room. I had a total knee replacement recently and have severe PTSD so anxiety hits pretty quick for me after being a survivor of the largest mass shooting in the United States on October 1, 2017. I was glad an accessible room was available but since that’s what I booked it would have been pretty bad if one wasn’t available.

This is a quiet place to stay with outstanding employees that care about there job and serving others. We were greated with no complications to check in. The rooms were clean and we were made aware of the short staff if towels were needed. I talked to one of the employees that I had talked to earlier in the day David. He came back in at 10:00 at night to help catch up with laundry and greated me the next morning at the front desk. Now that is dedication. This is our second time staying at this hotel and we make annual trips to the area with family. The location is only 15 min to Indiana Dunes and great places to eat just minutes away. Delicious breakfast and very helpful staff. Same lady was very helpful each am!

Saturday night . The people next to my room 302 was very talkative all night long. They were not overly loud but they were right next to my bed. I woke up a few times during the night. My first night was fine!

The room was very clean our rooms bathroom had been updated and was beautiful.

The pool. My sister and I hoped to go swimming after a long night the night before. But it was gross. It needed to be shocked. The water was murky and there was no chlorine odor so no doubt there wasn't enough in it. Needs a professional deep clean. Also not enough outlets in the room and the one there, nothing would stay plugged in.

Breakfast had a wide variety. The staff was super friendly and accommodating . Was super close to the indiana dunes at portage and lots of restaurants/ shopping nearby . Pool looked really nice but unfortunately didn’t have the chance to swim

Pillows were so uncomfortable , room smelled a little musty. Being charged a pet fee but no one likes being charged Extra money unexpectedly haha

They offered an awesome free breakfast. Was close to everything we needed. Pet friendly. We enjoyed taking pictures with bg blue chair

The breakfast was only from 6;30 am till 9:30 am. Some minor repairs are needed like paint and cleaning of carpets and tile needs to be fixed in bathroom.

The breakfast was surprising. There was a wide variety to choose from waffles, pancakes even hot bisquits with gravy! My room was spacious and clean. The staff especially miriam made you feel like you were home. Great job guys I will be back

It was clean and had a pool

Apple Maps couldn’t navigate us there in a rainstorm. It felt like it was in the middle of nowhere by the time we arrived. It’s not the hotel’s fault but they should definitely make sure that apps can navigate to them.

This is definitely one of the top notch Belmont's in NWI and Indiana as a whole. I have a great and new experience everytime I stay. Fresh Coffee all the time, take away breakfasts are always filling and healthy. The beds are always comfy and warm. The rooms are always clean. Housekeepers do an awesome job of the upkeep. The staff is always making you feel right at home and make you feel important. They are all helpful and kind. I also appreciate the staffs liency and favor in certain factors. I appreciate the consier yesterday morning checking me in efficiently and making sure that I had a clean room available and ready for an early check in. I really appreciate him takin that extra step and time in making sure I was fully taken care of. He was prompt and acknowledgeing. I like the initiative and we need more consier's in this world like him. I would recommend Belmont to anyone and I will definitely be returning in the near future.

The hotel is dated and has a slight smell of stale air. With the hodge podge wall and ceiling repairs it gave the feel of half-assed maintenance. You definitely need to replace the bathtub
