Super 8 by Wyndham Remington

I reserved this room with a little trepidation but was pleasantly surprised. Location was quiet despite proximity to the freeway and very clean. Staff was pleasant and you couldn't beat the price.

You can tell that there was previous water damage coming from the room above and the patchwork on the ceiling left much to be desired. The bathroom ceiling had a little bit of mold as well as a result if this (or guests not turning the ventilation fan on as it is a small bathroom). Both issues could be easily rectified. The mattresses were a bit soft to my liking and the sheets were on the thin side, but I'm not going to take more than one star away for these issues. This isn't a Four Seasons.

All the essentials were present and worked well, including the coffee maker and refrigerator. Since breakfast not until 6:30 am and I wantedto be on the road by then, had to skip that, but supper the night before was a small custom-made pizza from Casey's, less than two miles away, which was delicious and substantial. Bed very comfortable.

This is not a complaint about the motel, but it should be noted that the area straddles two time zones, and it confuses the electronics as well as the humans. Phone says one time, computer says another (you may need to change your alarm). Also to be noted, as a birder, the area is monoculture corn, with all the edges growing nothing but grass and therefore unfriendly to birds.

I made my reservation 3 days before date, I was put in a handicapped room with the shower head that was in need of repair. I didn't eat breakfast and bed was soft. Parking was not delineated so parked trucks took up one and a half parking spaces.

Due to Covid the breakfast was limited and with my nieces being picky eaters we went to McDonalds and got breakfast. I've stayed at this Super8 several times and have always been a good breakfast offered. The staff was very accomidating and kind. They excepted that the girls 6 and 8 had been in the car for hours and had no problem with their need to let off energy mostly outside in the small grassy area and some wondereing in hotel.

Not being their fault but one reason for staying there was because we could walk next door to get dinner. This time the restaurant was closed so McDonalds was the closest option and being on the road for 7 hours had enough run thru McDonalds. But no fault of the Hotel

Friendly staff, clean, well stocked breakfast every morning. Loved the view and that the windows opened for fresh air. Had a pool table and ping pong table to play when we had down time.

Right off the highway, also had a few fast food places within walking distance.

The coffee pot in room never cool off enough to make a second cup. It said on inside cover to wait at least a minute before making 2nd cup. We waited 15 & it was still to hit.

it was a great price and the location was excellent.

The evening desk clerk checked us in was extremely unfriendly however the day shift clerk more than made up for it. She was excellent.

Good, helpful staff. Room and hotel were very clean for a somewhat dated property.

Bed was not the most comfortable but still ok. Covers were very flimsy.

Went to a wedding in Delphi. This was a great place to stay too far.

Property very secure, clean easy to get to plenty of places to eat close
